Last year I brought those cute mini cupcakes from Baked by Melissa.
Huge hit.
They have special packaging that travels very well.
I take a bus, then a subway, then an hour train ride to my family
and there was no problem.
Bought them on Wed. and they were very fresh for Thursday night.
(You can always cover them in Saran Wrap.)

I've been shopping there for years.

ISO new and different Thanksgiving pies and cakes
As much as we love certain traditional Thanksgiving bakery goods, this year I want to bring something different.
Over the years I have bought from The Little Pie Company, Two Little Red Hens, Steve's Keylime, those little cupcakes from Melissa's, Veniero's pastries.

There used to be a wonderful vintage glassware store on W. 16th Street NYC called Mr. Pink.
Unfortunately the store closed a few years ago.
I am searching for some vintage/retro inexpensive holiday gifts and am in need of a similar NYC store.
