Looking For A New Fun Restaurant With Great Food in the Valley The Six in Studio City is great with a nice patio. They only take reservations for parties of 6. It calls itself a gastropub so I'm not sure about bringing your own wine. Varied menu - definitely in your price range. |

I have to host a dinner in Santa Fe this June. Price is not a consideration. There will be 50 to 60 people. I would like to avoid continental or italian, as most people there are from big cities in Europe and North America, so they can always get that cuisine. I have the usual suspects, Geronimo, Santa Cafe, etc. What about Epazote, which looks interesting, but the concierge has not mentioned. |

Need to host a dinner in Santa Fe Thanks for the info. The dinner will be the third week in June and a private room for 50-60 would be nice. |

Need to host a dinner in Santa Fe I will be hosting a dinner for around 50 people in Santa Fe. Food must be outstanding. Frankly, price is not an issue. I host this dinner every year in a different place so we tend to get continental, etc. I am wondering if there is truly outstanding upscale Mexican place (I did see Epazote on the web, but have no idea if it is any good). I have also been told about Compound and Coyote Cafe. Any help appreciated. I need the kind of place that you take your prospective in-laws to when you try to convince them that you can, indeed, support their daughter in the style to which she would like to be accustomed and, furthermore, you know something about what good food is. Thanks. |

Thanks for the recommendations. Keen's it will be for our annual prime rib fest. Not really comparing it to Lawry's as we have sampled all different LA restaurants for prime rib over the years. Actually like The Palm in LA for prime rib. Will report back on Keen's. |

upscale casual Italian or fresh fish/Santa Monica/Brentwood Took Emme's suggestion and went to Pecorino in Brentwood. The food was terrific especially the baked sole and the service was most gracious and prompt. Restaurant was lively but conversation was possible! |

upscale casual Italian or fresh fish/Santa Monica/Brentwood Would appreciate suggestions for Italian or fresh fish - not seafood - in Santa monica. Meeting friends so would like it on the quieter side to allow conversation and catching up! Thanks in advance for any suggestions. One thought I had was Il Forno. Any comments? |
