I am taking out my boyfriend for his 29th birthday and have reservations at both Blue Hill and Little Owl. WHICH TO CHOOSE!! Things to consider: noice level (it is a friday night), food, service, cost (as in not worth the money), anything else. Thanks in advance!!
Shelf life for Shredded Cheese
I bought some shredded Parmesan and blue cheese at the beginning of December. Are they still good? They were freshly grated at my gourmet food store, so I figure they have less preservatives.

Looking for a hip, fun atmosphere where i can get a sense of where upper 20 year olds who live here would have a celebration or nice meal. NOT anything stuffy. Does that help?

I would highly suggest Aroma winebar... they have a room in the basement that would be perfect. the food is very good and reasonable.

Yes, public is the australian place. I really enjoyed by meals at both:
Public i had the kangaroo as an app. and then the grilled shrimp as an entree. Public is more sceny than Landmarc. It is louder (but not overly powering)
Landmarc is more homey and VERY good. i spilt the Filet and tuna steak when i went there. the food was really good (the steak was great.... and i am from chicago so i have had great steak). and the wine is very cheap and you can get craffes and try different types. if you are looking for a place to have great conversation and catchup i would say landmarc.

I really enjoyed Public when I went. It is a very lively atmosphere and I loved my food when I was there (had the kangaroo app. and the shrimp entree.) I think it is definitely worth a trip
