Where to Eat in Atlanta (Vinings)?

I'll be in Atlanta (Vinings) over a February weekend and am looking for a dinner recommendation. I went on Opentable to look at places in the area. Lots of steakhouse and southern food options. I'll be there visiting the gf's family so I'm not really looking for the steakhouse thing. The southern food route could be interesting since we don't usually eat southern food, even though we live in DC - the south to a Chicagoan.

The place that caught my attention was South City Kitchen in Vinings. What do you think? What other recommendations do you have?

Review of Mio (Long)

The feedback here seems spot on, based on my several dinners at Mio.

I have had the halibut before and thought it was good but not great. This last week I had the short ribs for the first time (the description above was perfect) and they were the best I've ever had.

Although not touched on above, it's a great spot for an after work happy hour - especially if you like latin american cocktails like my fave the pisco sour and a very good wine selection (great malbecs). As a plus, the owner has always been there every time we have dined. He is very attentive and deservedly proud of his restaurant.

nicer latin american in nyc

i'm looking for a nicer latin american restaurant in manhattan. i prefer mexican or nuevo latino - think pujol in mexico, df. no frozen margaritas or burritos as big as my head, please.
