A meal is not only food but also an experience. Under this angle, brunch at the George V in Paris definitely stroke the perfect balance: professional but friendly and fun staff, great people watching (I would go back there anytime just for that!!) and the butter tasting just blew me away ;)
My current drink of choice:
I am definitely a wine drinker but when offered an aperitif, I will go for the local aperitive cocktail. Love a white Lillet on the rocks or walnut wine but if I am stuck clueless, I will go straight for the Austrian or Hungarian wine on the list
I really wish I could:
be drinking a glass of walnut wine, jambon auvergnat and lentil and lardons salad. Right now.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
I have the bad habit of experimenting too much but the one cookbook I turn to when in doubt is Mario Batali's Molto Italiano for the orange and olive lambshank or the guanciale and red onions spaghetti. Currently, a nice salad and a crazy platter of English and continental cheese is also a go to idea.
My favorite comfort food:
Bread and unsalted butter. Lemon fettucine.
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Working on it
My most tattered cookbooks:
All of the cooking magazines I have collected since moving to London 2 years ago.
