Great pics, stellar report, shame about the mediocre broth. Cheers

Fish once a week
Hi all, my family is trying to get geared up for cooking a little bit healthier this new year, we need some fish recipes. We are trying to cook fish(not crustaceans) once a work week, and need some simple, flavorful recipes and tips. When it comes to fish we are totally brain dead on technique and preparation. If you want to divulge some of your favorite side dishes that would be great too. Thanks!
I forgot to add that we love asian, latin, middle eastern flavors. :)

What store has the best selection of rice cookers?
late reply but I ended up going to a little korean housewares store called Cosmos, it is right off El Camino in Santa Clara. I picked up a 3.5 cup Sanyo fuzzy logic model and it works great, the store has a very large selection of rice cookers, asian style kitchen housewares and gadgets. The prices were great and the woman that run the shop are really personable and friendly. thanks for everyones help.

top al pastor around RWC?
Anyone have recs for some tasty al pastor around Redwood City. The places that I have tried have all been pretty dry and not as great as I know it can be. Any ideas?
Great Pho at Pho Vi Hoa
I ate their 2 weeks ago and was disappointed. Very bland broth, sparse plate of greens and forgettable tasting meat, although the noodles were very good and had the right texture. Where I live , good pho is impossible to find, so I am always left heading south. Pho Vi Hoa is closer but I will drive to Pho Nam on El Camino in Sunnyvale before returning to Pho Vi Hoa. I might drive back and try it again if I am working in that exact area. Thanks for the report.

Good Carnitas Plate on the Peninsula?
el grullense grill(has a bar and is more upscale than a taqueria) in redwood city on woodside road has very good carnitas, I am sure they would make a lunch or dinner plate for you no problem. there is a grullense on el camino in redwood city and el camino in palo alto and one on castro st mt. view that would do the same. The fresh home tortillas are key to a good meal for sure.

south bay/pen. noobie indian recs?
Never really eaten Indian food accept when I was raised by an Indian family/baby sitter as a young child, I am out to give it a try but don't know where to start. Can anyone point me in the direction of a good Indian place to get my feet wet. One with a pleasant waitstaff would be preferable, either end of the price spectrum is fine. Lastly, what should I order? I am stoked!
