2 days in SD - staying gaslamp qtr

Las Cuatros Milpas has some delicious tacos as well as chorizo with beans and rice. Not sure what Las Fachas is-maybe you mean La Fachada? I've never eaten there but I know some people rave. As for Aqui es Texacoco that is in Chula Vista so about ~15 or so miles south from where you will be staying. Also delicious potato rolled tacos but their only protein is lamb so just be aware of that.

I'd also recommend Mama Testa and I think Super Cocina also has tacos as well as some of the more authentic Mexican food in SD. If your willing to venture south I would highly recommend TJ Oyster Bar in Bonita for some fish tacos. They have an assortment of different fish dishes/tacos/burritos etc. So good but tiny little place.

I just had dinner last night at Teriyaki Grill on 3rd Ave. It was delicious and fresh. I was expecting your typical food court style Teriyaki place but was pleasantly surprised to find interesting specials and yum food. I wasn't looking for vegetarian options but I'm sure they could accomodate.

I think their location or rather their appearance from the street may be unfortunate and won't draw people in but the boyfriend and I were so happy to find this little gem in CV.

I noticed it as well when I was at El Zarape. I stopped in to look at the menu. Typical cafe stuff...sandwiches, salads, pastry and coffees. Some sounded very tasty and their breakfast menu looked pretty good as well. Haven't tried yet but will soon.

Restaurants in W. Hollywood

Hello all-
My hubby and I are going up to LA (from San Diego)and we are staying at the Renaissance in W. Hollywood. Any suggestions on good eats nearby? We would love to be able to walk but driving isn't out of the question.

Give me all that you've got. Any type of cuisine-and price from divey hole in the wall places to moderately priced.

Thanks!
