St. Thomas on Thanksgiving

We flying to St. Thomas on T-day and arriving late by island standards. The flight is supposed to land at 6:30 pm so we figure we'll be at Hotel 1829 and ready to head back out again by 7:30 or 8 pm. We've been to the island a number of times before, usually on our way to St. John. We've chowed at most of the recommended places- from Herves (love!) to Gladys, and are always looking for another place to try. We won't have a car but are fine with grabbing a taxi.

Are we going to have a hard time finding a decent meal that late on a holiday?

Springfield MO- need recommendations!

I'm heading to Springfield Missouri for a conference over the first week in October and would like to find some good eats. I'm worried about the lack of current Springfield chatter on the boards but am hopeful someone can point me toward some possibilities. You guys have never let me down before! Any type of restuarant suggestion- fancy, ethnic, diner - would be appreciated.

Special Dinner On St. John

Asolare is our favorite on St. John- very romantic. We go there everytime we are on the island. It has an amazing sunset view and terrific food. Be sure to order one of their signature drinks, too. The other great meal we had was at Tage, in the middle of Cruz Bay. It doesn't have the view, though. We haven't been there in a couple years and the chef's seem to move around a bunch down there.

Where do the locals eat in Vegas?

Thanks Chowhounds! We were in Vegas over the weekend. Using your recommendations, we went to Rosemary's, Lotus of Siam and the Stage Deli. All were terrific, especially Rosemary's. We also went to the Peppermill one night. The food was adequate but the portions were humongous- the four of us could have shared one entree. The cocktails were potent, as well. I'll definately be back to your site for other rec's!
