Thanks so much! This is a great help. I keep reading that Le Select has good food and is kid friendly. I have also read about the Italian restaurant with "no substitutions." We will definitely try those.

It was not wine. We ordered cocktails. They were the special drinks of the house. I loved the atmosphere though. I'd still like to try the food. Just wondering if its worth it? I'd love to hear what others think.

Trendy restaurants with great food and will not break the bank

Hello,
My hubby and I stopped into Casa La Femme on Charles Street for a couple of drinks yesterday afternoon. The ambiance was excellent and so were the drinks. When we got the bill of $67 for four drinks we were quite surprised.

Has anyone eaten there? Is the food worth $55 for the prix fixed menu?

Do you have any suggestions of places similar in atmosphere but will not break the bank?

brunch or lunch spot for a day trip?

I would recommend Equs Restaurant at the Castle on the Hudson in Tarrytown, NY. We got married there last year and it was amazing! Very romantic and the food and service are excellent.
