Dinner near Hammerstein Ballroom

Hey guys,

I always have this dilemma when seeking out dinner grub before a show at this venue. But I find it difficult to sift through the options on 9th Avenue and Yelp reviews in the Hell's Kitchen area are not to be trusted. Anyone have any tips for cheap-ish and tasty food in the vicinity? Not opposed to pub food, but would prefer something in the Mediterranean or Asian wheelhouse if there are decent options in the vicinity. Also, it's cold, so not up for the hike to K Town, though I do love eating there regularly.

Lunch near Coney Island

Totonno's is Coney Island's classic pizzeria. Be prepared to wait for a slice, but it's worth it.

Also, the clams on the half shell at the boardwalk stands are surprisingly delicious and the season is right for that kind of refreshment. And there's always Nathan's hotdogs and fries.

$12-15 entrees for a friend-family meal in SF

Just realized Aperto is perfect--they only take reservations for parties of six or more, so we're set!

$12-15 entrees for a friend-family meal in SF

Hello all. My friend's parents are coming to town (TOMORROW!) and she has enlisted me to find a place they can take four of her friends on short notice. She also wants an early reservation -- 7 PM. Her price range is low as well--$12-$15 per entree. I have been looking at menus of some of my ideal choices--Firefly, Blue Plate, Piperade, Pacific Cafe--all the entrees are too pricey and the probability of getting a reservation for a group this large at this time is near impossible. Any suggestions?
