i made the Mom Mom's Red Velvet Cake recipe yesterday, but I made cupcakes :) It turned out wonderful for me, I made the frosting today and frosted it, didn't have time last night, as I made the "cupcake" part pretty late and needed it to cool first. My husband came home just now and had one and said he LOVED it. haha, he said he LOVED the frosting the best. No clumps at all. I didn't have liquid food coloring, and used my gel coloring, I did however, used water and mixed it with my food coloring to make it 2oz.

I might have overbaked it a little though as it isnt as moist, but still good, not dry or anything. This is the first time i'm making a RVC, too :)

I have never had Red Velvet before and was wondering what the fuss was about, so I went looking for a recipe for it. This is my first time making Red Velvet so I really don't have anything to compare it to, BUT this recipe is soooo yummy! I didn't make a cake, as I was looking to make cupcakes. I took the recipe, and turned it into cupcakes instead. I was a little "scared" of the forsting, as I never made frosting with cornstarch before, but this frosting is soooo yummy! I love baking, it's hard to buy any baked goods as my kids have nut allergies, so I tend to bake everything myself :)

have you tried siddhartha? i guess i cant say i've had my fair shares of indian food, but i've tried a few and siddhartha is the best. it's a buffet on king st. YUMMY!

My grandmother makes a wicked hainan chicken rice. LOL... My mom's isn't bad either. Lots of ppl like my mom's, since she cooks and caters for ppl.

Ok, there seems to be no good place or any place at all that has good poutine's in Toronto. Does anyone know any? I'm in North york, but would go downtown for one if necessary. LOL
