Looking for family friendly, kids are 10 & 11 but someplace we can sit and not be rushed

Thanks all! I actually ended up getting chopped liver and challah at Zabar's as it was easy. Chopped liver not bad at all...not like Katz's but very delish!

If you want really good BBQ in Branford, try The Rib House. Much better ribs than the Cookhouse.

I went to Molyvos a number of years ago and thought it was great. Thinking about going again for dinner after a matinee. Haven't heard much about it recently.

Has anybody been? Would love to get some reviews.

Cafe Routier is really good. Dockside in Branford not for a romantic dinner or for good food. Also, stay away from Guilford Mooring...food is horrible.
Stonehouse is really good but the atmosphere can be a little stuffy unless you sit in the bar, which is not what you are looking for.
I would go with Le Petit Cafe in Branford as suggested. Close to New Haven and
wonderful food and service.

With the Jewish New Year coming I am desperately searching for good Chopped Liver, whitefish salad and Challah in the New Haven area.

Planning on a sunset cruise this Sunday in the New Haven-Shoreline area. We are looking for a great place to pick up some nice already made appetizers, in the Madison, Guilford, Clinton, Old Saybrook area. Would love a place like Whole Foods but of course that doesn't exist. Stop and Shop doesn't cut it! Anybody know of any gourmet type take out places?

We were in Maui a few weeks ago and had a great dinner at Roy's Hawaiian Fusion. I had short ribs which were the best and someone else had a fantastic filet.
Wish I was in Maui now!
