My husband & I are interested in finding some great resturants in the San Juan area of PR.

Well try ethiopian cuisine. You'll find it a wonderful treat and Meskerum in Adams Morgan has a fun atmosphere. You can sit tableside or upstairs you can eat sitting on little floor stools around a large copper plate. A unique cuisine that does not get enough attention. Enjoy the flavors. This resturant has had some great reviews too. I hope you check it out.
Baltimore City commercial baking/catering
Your local Health Department is your best resource and they can guide you in the right direction so you can serve safe food to guests. Consider them your advocate not your enemy.

Budget catering in DC?
With only a $15 per person budget I would suggest 1st using non-china option for your wedding reception. Get over the china issue- people do not remember what they eat on as much as if the food was good. 2nd I would look into an affordable location for your reception such as a park the maryland national park & planning commission has some great reasonably priced locations. 3rd Have your reception during a time whereby folks are not starving - suggestions: have a dessert & champagnee reception so you can enjoy great desserts & a bar,
OR Offer appetizers and on your invitations note to guests dinner will not be served so guests can plan on eating something before your event.
