It's a split decision. Icarus 2004 and Gramercy Tavern in NYC Jan 2007. Icarus was a 3+ hour meal with paired wine, a wonderful foie gras, great chicken dish, perfectly cooked duck dish, and the ever popular chocolate souffle for dessert. A great experience with great service. However, a 7 course tasting menu at Gramercy Tavern (which quickly turned into 10 plus courses after a few complementary offerings and a cheese course) was also quite memorable. They seem pretty equal with a possibly edge to Gramercy Tavern for the coffee cake doggie bag!
My current drink of choice:
B-Side Splendido: Gin, Chambord, Lime Juice. I can always take a Stone Brewery Ruination Ale down too. Or a Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye. I guess I'm a bit of a drunk!
