Christmas Brunch/Dinner in Orlando

For the first time - my family and I (husband and 8-year old son) will be all by ourselves for Christmas (Woo Hoo!!!) and while I love to cook - we have decided to take the day off and enjoy the culinary skills of someone else.

Any suggestions for late afternoon brunch or dinner place that will please the foodies in us - as well as the unfortunately pedestrian tastes of my lovely child (you know the story - chicken fingers, hot dogs, french fries, etc. -- and yes, we've tried to help him branch out but...we are hoping to enjoy the Christmas meal and not wear it!!)

At this point, we don't have any requirements -- casual, fancy, buffet, sit-down, off-the-wall and different works, as well --- any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time and enjoy your Holiday, as well!!!!!!

Best Late-Night Dessert in NYC - Manhattan

I just found out that my husband and I are going to New York on Monday (11/24) for a work event -- the event lasts from about 6:30p until about 9:30p -- I was hoping that someone could recommend a great late-night dessert place to go - just the two of us or maybe a small group. I'm looking for someplace that also offers drinks/wine, etc. -- if there is a place that also offers great music and atmosphere...all the better -- and yes, I know I want it all...it's just my nature...LOL

Thank you for your suggestions....

Weekend in San Diego - need suggestions....

Thanks for the great suggestions -- sounds like Point Loma fits the bill for seafood. It's great to hear that Whole Foods is in the area --- I'm already a WF customer and it will work out fantastic...thanks again...

Weekend in San Diego - need suggestions....

My husband is in San Diego for three weeks and my 6-year old son & I will be traveling from Orlando in a couple of weeks to spend the weekend. I've booked a whale watching trip on the Americas Cup sailing ship (as a surprise) and I expect we'll go to the Zoo, as well, but I need some help on the chow. I'd like to get a fantastic picnic lunch --- bread, cheese, olives, wine, etc. (and something for the little one) for the boat --- I did find Bread & Cie on-line but wondering if there are some other suggestions...since I'm out of town, I need to be able to get it all in one place...some place that would pack it would be great. Also looking for some great seafood, someplace to get a cold beer and easy lunch/early dinner and any place the locals go that should not be missed...thanks...BTW - if you have any suggestions for sushi or dim sum...just in case we have the time...
