Le Catalan has great food AND a great view. Two features you most times can't find at one restaurant. This place has both. |

Here is a fairly new thread with lots of Wilmington recommendations. Hope this helps. Enjoy your stay. |

Carolina Beach Dine and Drink Report Market Street Casual Dining has been closed for a couple of years now. It was one of our favorites too. |

Wilmington NC - Where do YOU dine? Sorry. I guess you shouldn't believe everything you hear. I'm very glad to hear it. We like Savannah's. Haven't been lately, but we have never been disappointed. |

Where do the foodies eat in Wilmington, NC Unfortunately Zooi closed a couple of weeks ago. If you haven't tried Caprice Bistro downtown, it's owned by the same people and is wonderful! |

For a small city, Wilmington is blessed with many great independently owned restaurants. From upscale, to casual, to cheap....you name it. Wilmington also has just about every ethnic cuisine. Here's a fairly current thread that has a lot of suggestions. Enjoy your stay and happy eating! |

osteria cicchetti- wilmington,nc We had a wonderful meal there recently. Everything we ordered was very tasty; portions were just right; prices very reasonable, and the service, casual yet professional. Absolutely love the decor! I would give "OC" a solid A-. |

Have not tried PT's yet, but have heard that their burgers are really good. Do not care for Two Guys Grille at all. How about Katy's Great Eats? I hear they have some awesome burgers. |

Definite thumbs up for Brooklyn Pizza. Never cared for Elizabeth's. |

Wilmington NC - Where do YOU dine? I also had those nachos and agree with your "mushy" review. Did have a tasty tuna sandwich though with a nice tartar sauce. Overall, have to agree with you; not very impressed. |

Wilmington NC - Where do YOU dine? I heard that a bunch of restaurants closed in the last two weeks. Savannah's, Frankie's, Zooi, and Rockola. While it's sad to see many good ones go, (some not so sad), someone is right there ready to open another restaurant in the same spot. |

I wish I could recommend a restaurant in Wilmington that had great food AND a nice view, (Cape Fear River, Atlantic Ocean). Alas... none come to mind. IMO Dockside is GREAT for the view. Can't get much better. Food is okay. South Beach Grill again IMO is okay. Nothing special, but fun. Downtown has several wonderful restaurants. Circa 1922, for small plates, (one of our favorites), Chelsea's (Tapas and wine bar), Deluxe (for more upscale, wonderful food), The Copper Penny, (bar and pub food), & Caffe Pheonix, (great space and good food). As for ethnic downtown you could try Big Thai for really good Thai food. There's also a new place on Front and Princess called Mediterra. Have not been and have not heard anything about it.They serve Turkish, Lebanese, and Moroccan? Don't know anything about the food, but I hear the space is beautiful. |

Congratulations to Marc and ALL the top chefs in Wilmington. Our "little" city is blessed with a lot of culinary talent. My one wish is that Wilmingtonians support all this local talent and quit going to the CHAINS!!! |

Wilmington NC - Where do YOU dine? Our favorite for sushi, (and it doesn't get mentioned much), is Mineh in the University Landing shopping center. Great food; not just for sushi; and really nice people. |

Okay fellow hounds, |

bachelorette dinner in wilmington Yes, I forgot about Caffe Phoenix. We've had many nice meals and get togethers there. Another one is Yosake. Good food, fun place, and nice people. The truth is that there are so many great restaurants in downtown Wilmington, and they are all close to fun bars. |

bachelorette dinner in wilmington A few of our favorites are The Copper Penny, Chelsea's, and Circa 1922. There's lots to choose from downtown. Have fun! |

Where do the foodies eat in Wilmington, NC Well sueshank, you were one month off on your prediction about Delancey's. Just heard that they packed things up in the middle of the night and took off. Does anyone know when Ashe's new place, Osteria Tuchetti, ( Old Rossi's), is going to open? It seems like that whole shopping center is cursed! I mean look at how many places have come and gone in there: Salty's, Rossi's, Delancey's, Milano's, Flavor Fusion, and now I hear that Frankie's is not doing all that great either. What is it? Mayfair across the street? Road construction or what? |

Verandah's is a really nice B&B in downtown Wilmington, but don't know how expensive it is. The owners are very nice also. As far as the wine; are you referring to Muscadine wine. It's supposed to have great health benefits. Don't know who sells any locally. You might want to check with some of the local wine shops. The Wine Sampler in Anderson Square; Divine Wines just passed Monkey Junction. Even Harris Teeter and Lowe's Foods carry NC wines. |

Some good friends have been and raved about the food; service was a little slow; prices were a little high. I myself have not been yet. Can't wait! |

S.Beach/Savannah's, Wrightsville Bch They were both owned by the same people. Don't know if that has changed now. Things happen so quickly in this town, there is no telling. |
