Where for a good lunch in Maynard, Mass?

FYI: they are not honoring coupons.

Also, they have no air conditioning and had no heat this winter either. Seems like they're cutting back on customer service all around. Not a good sign.

Brandeis Graduation

La Campania. You only graduate once.

Better breakfast spots in this area are Miss Lyndonville Diner in Lyndonville and P&H in Wells River.

Chinatown for a first-timer

Chau Chau City on Essex for dim sum. Daily. The best.

challenge: Affordable, local, unique, not to savory/spicy for mother-in-law?

Daily Catch, Harvard Street, Brookline
Local, unique, fish, pasta, can do non-garlic if you ask

Mr. Bartley's Burgers, Mass Ave., Harvard Square, Cambridge
Local, unique, funky, huge burgers, many varieties

Business Travel to Boston, Financial District, restaurant ideas?

Silvertone Bar & Grill, 69 Bromfield. Best mac & cheese or meatloaf ever.

North Conway weekend with eight ladies?

Kidding about Boston in earlier post.

Willing to bet that you would like Jonatahan's for comfort seafood in Conway.

Replacement for 2nd Ave Deli?

Strictly kosher I cannot help. Not kosher but decent deli? Carnegie for sure. Barney Greengrass up in the 80's for smoked fish.

2nd Ave owners (some of them) have put in a bid for the 33rd Street space but they do not have it yet.

P & H, Exit 17, Route 91, Wells River VT, has refurbished

Major upgrade. Former owner bought it back from folks he sold it to in 1984. Food and people the same (maybe even better). Stunning upgrades to interior. Maple cream pie itself is worth an hour detour in and of itself.

The Maine Diner, is it all that?

Yes. For the lobster roll alone.

restaurant/inn wedding venue in southern NH?

Bedford Village Inn. East of where you want to be, but not by much. They do it all very well.

Quick Weekend in Quebec

Away from old part of town, on Cartier, Graffitti fits exactly what you are looking for in re: ambience.

2 nights in Quebec City

Will stake my life on L'Echaude, one block from Dominion Hotel.

The best place for smoked meat

Quebec City. Brynds. On Maguire. A must.

East Cambridge finds?

Cafe Ole, Springfield Street, not far from E. Cambridge. Tableside guac to die for.

Veggies in Boston?

Had lunch at Grasshopper two days ago. Best hot and sour soup I've ever had. Got an appetizer plate that was spectacular. Vegan cheesecake is fabulous. Have been there just three times in the past four months and it has been great every time.

good sandwiches - Allston, Brighton, Watertown - What's out there?

Rubin's on Harvard for deli. Two minute walk, heading south on Harvard from Commonwealth.

Spike's hot dogs, fried, onion rings. Brighton Ave, one block east from Harvard, right side inbound.

Business Travel to Boston, Financial District, restaurant ideas?

Chinatown. Chau Chau City on Essex. Dim Sum. 3rd floor. 9-3pm, seven days a week. A must. Fabulous grocery store, one door down as well.

good Italian outside of the North End

West of Boston, Campania at 504 Main Street is the best.

Brunch metro west suburbs

Doubletree, Winter Street exit off of 128 north in Waltham, just reworked their breakfast/brunch buffet. Kid friendly.

Brother's, downtown Wakefield. Large, fast, excellent.

Boston Delis?

S & S in Cambridge, right across the bridge, is as good as it gets in the Boston area. If you are west of the city, Barry's in Waban is very good also. Away from Coolidge Corner, down Harvard toward Allston, Rubin's, almost at the Brookline/Boston border, is quite good, too.
