Thanks, I guess, since I wont' be exercising and I usually teach yoga I'd like something quasi healthy, interesting, fun, on the light but satisfying side. a unique salad that is matched with a glass of wine and enough protein to heal a tendon. In my imagination something inspired, unusual, somewhat healthy and satisfying ....in between healthy and decadent...not deep fried or heavy suace..
perhaps artichoke hearts in buffalo mozarrella, a light whole wheat pastry crust with spinach and onions and on the side ,spiinach and garlic without too much oil and ...a brilliant merlot that heals tendons upon one taste. perhaps a wee slice of a wicked chocolate something to end the feast.

wonderful family and friends picking up food for me, as a sharp cleaver knife just fell off the kitchen sink and severed a tendon. I won't be walking for a wee bit and will benefit from fabulous take out food in the west side. any ideas?

Tomorrow, Saturday lunch Westside - Mystery Clues

Hello

I'm looking for an unusual restaurant, that is conducive to plotting a Mystery with my writing partner, who is vanishing the next day for several months.

In my imagination the Restaurant is on the Westside, has a view, or an ambience that is friendly and unique. Splendid salads and light creative delectable entries with just enough mystery ingredients, (though that can be subtle.) An inspired wine list is poignantly appreciated.

In the past, finding any restuarant open on Saturday at lunch, has been a daunting Mystery.

All suggestions appreciated.

Have you written a mystery at any particular restaurant that helped you weave all the clues together? This is my first Mystery Novel and it is challenging, in a good way. I know a delectable meal, a quirky ambience and a fabulous glass of wine will help.

I'm looking for an extremely good restaurant on the Westside to transform a ghastly evening into a promising one. What would help is inspired food, mellow spacious ambience. P referably this restaurant/space could be found in Europe.......or, not only in los angeles.- though, this is not mandatory. Price not over the top. I'm looking for one of those evenings where the food, service, ambience, wine.......etc. is conducive to communication, pleasure, enjoyment and a miracle. thank you. Larkin

What I meant to communicate, in the last line, was I would
love to have this kind of memorable 'swoonable' experience in a restaurant a few times.
With swoon, I don't mean to pass out, I mean the feeling - of - this is soooo good - i need to pause long enough to take in this 'amazing meal'.

Looking for a delectable, healthy-decadent, ambrosia-elixir kind of dreamy dining experience. Budget is not a problem. In my imagination the light is low, the tables are spaced so one can reveal secrets that are only stirred when the food is swoonable.
I realize this sounds a wee bit odd - but I think you know what I mean.
I last time I had this experience was at a dinner party.
Now I want to have to two or even three times at a restaurant.

Intimate, hidden, westside restaurant with creative cuisine

Looking for a restaurant that is probably new, but not necessarily so.
Would love it to be conducive to good conversation and to feel like it could be anywhere.
Definitely want it not to have a decisively los angeles feel to it.
A brilliant wine list and creative cuisine, any kind really would be grand.
Candle light and a feel of secrets being revealed would also be great.

in Scotland Oatcakes are very available and wonderful. sort of like wasa crackers in sweden or.......
before now had found some not authentic oatcakes but this wonderful place and people have directed me to some proper ones.

Laphroaig is an island whisky from Isla in Scotland. never drank malt whisky before recent Scotland trip. discovered i quite enjoy the island ones.

and now to enjoy a wee dram with authentic oat cakes.
