Best (Restaurant/Food) of Montreal

O...M...G...

Thanks for the play-by-play Robvh! That sounded like an amazing meal.

where to eat pre theater

It's not exactly in the neighborhood of the theater but the pre-theater restaurant I usually go to is called Osteria Al Doge (142 W. 44th St. between 6th and 7th Ave). The food is good (i.e. homemade pastas in veal ragu with wild mushrooms, fresh calamari salad) and they know that many of their clientele are theater-goers so they get your order and food out as quickly as possible. Just let your server know you are catching a show.

Restaurant Week--where are you planning on going?

I am having dinner at Perry St. next week. Fingers crossed.

The other place I'm going for RW is Fig & Olives/Midtown (but only because they do a good job and had an amazing waitstaff).

Best (Restaurant/Food) of Montreal

Hey all! So, I'm visiting Montreal for the first time this fall for a few days and while I'm there, I want to sample the best that Montreal has to offer. With that in mind, I also want to try (at least one of) the most progressive cuisine/restaurants there. So therefore, any recommendations? In other words, if money isn't an issue, where would YOU go for a culinary adventure?

Best desserts in Bergen County?

I just saw the La Petite Patisserie is closed for good. Any idea why?

What should I order at Hurapan?

I was just there tonight. My friends and I had the spare rib and a tuna tartare appetizer. Both are pretty good. As an entree, we shared the hot pot ($35/person - 2 person minimum to order) with Spicy Tom-Yom soup base. Honestly, 2 person order was enough to feed 4 people. Champagne and Pomegranate cocktail tasty and popular.
