Charlestown Restaurants
Hi there, My family is travelling from the Cape to visit a relative in Charlestown. She just moved there and doesn't really know the area so was hoping we could get some good suggestions on where to eat. There will be 7 of us total. Is Olives worth the money? We're thinking Olives might be just a bit too expensive for this visit? What are people thoughts on Olives, Figs, Navy Yard Bistro, Max & Dylan's Kitchen Bar, Paolo's Trattoriaj. Tangierino sounds like a lot of fun (belly dancing and stuff) but I don't know if the majority will go for Moroccan food. (I did do search on here but I would like to hear some more recent opinions.) Thanks so much!!

Out of these North End Italian restaurants....
My girlfriend is flying in from NY next weekend and we want an affordable, delicious meal in the North End.
Which one is the best bang for your buck (good quality yummy food at a reasonable price)?
Antico Forno, Artu, Cibo, La Summa, Massimoino's Cucina, Mother Anna's, Vinoteca di Monica's, or Pagliuca's???
Vinotecca di Monica's OR Teatro
I want to thank all of you for your advice and opinions. Clearly, Teatro wins!! Tonight I will be going the show (and I did make reservations for both restaurants so I'll have to cancel my one at Monica's). I will let you all know sometime next week how we all liked it. Thanks again Chowhounders, you've made my decision an easy one!
Vinotecca di Monica's OR Teatro
My girlfriends and I are looking for a nice place for dinner before seeing Wicked at 8. Now I know that Teatro is right near the theater so it's location would be great so that' s a plus. Though my sister lives in the North End so we could drop off all of our stuff, park at her place, and then walk to Monica's. I just can't decide which restaurant we should go to.
Does one have better food? Service? Bar? Can you recommend a particular dish you like at both. Is one more expensive? Out of the two, which would you pick?
Thanks so much!
EVOO, Tremont 647, .....
I actually live on the Cape but wanted to try one of the RW restaurants and I'm intrigued by both of these. Can someone tell me which one would be the best choice and why? Either one have a better wine list or bar? Service at both? Is one location easier to get to than the other (especially from the North End where we'll be staying).
How about include in the mix Masa and Smith and Wollensky?? Out of those four, how would you rate all of them (# 1 being best - #4)
I'm having a hard time deciding so I appreciate your help fellow chowhounders!
Thanks so much!

Thanks DuxburyDad, I certainly will try Tokyo Sushi when it opens though they're waiting for their final inspection. According to the woman that answered the phone it will probably be in the next week or so. Plus, for me since I work about 10 minutes from there.
And I just found out the restaurant's name on the Cape I was referring to (the one that unfortunately isn't getting great reviews) in West Harwich is "Noble House Japanese Steakhouse" restaurant. And Fujiyama sounds like it's not too far out of the way either so someday I'll try that one. Thanks
Went to Bangkok Cuisine II in Dennis, MA last night
Or as the neon lighted sign says "THAI FOOD". It was really good, very friendly staff, terrific chicken and shrimp pad thai. The appetizers : (don't ask why my fiance ordered these as an app. at a Thai restaurant) chicken wings were scrumptious, very crunchy crust/breading, and then the fried wanton dumplings were delicious also. The main reason I'm writing this isn't a food review, but rather an FYI: They don't have a bar or serve any booze here. If we knew this before we went we probably wouldn't have. However, they allow you to bring in whatever your heart desires, so that more than makes up for it. Of course we didn't know this until we already sat down, so nothing a quick trip to the package store couldn't fix!! So do go for a visit, just don't forget your favorite bottle (s) of wine!!

Thank you to everyone who responded to my inquiry about 'hibatchi', (thanks limster) or as MC Slim JB more correctly identified it, as 'teppanyaki'.
wpz888 is referring to a restaurant that just opened and isn't getting rave reviews, quite the contrary actually. Hopefully they can work out their 'opening woes' and I surely will visit them at that point.
Winedude thanks for that referral though I'm very rarely up that way, but I'll certainly keep it in the back of my mind perhaps as the perfect ending to another Patriot win!! (How about that game today against the Jets!!!)YOWWWW!
The one in Marshfield I was referring to is Aoyama and unfortunately by the time I called them, they were completey booked.
And come to find out the place in Plymouth, get this, hadn't even opened yet!!!
So we ended up eating Thai food at Bangkok Cuisine II that was good but didn't serve liquor (not even beer or wine!). Funny thing was I had no idea about that but a friend of mine hinted to me that could be the case. So I called and asked, "Do you serve liquor?" They said yes and then to reassure myself, I asked "A full bar" and they said yes. So when we got there we were a bit peed off but they did go on to tell us we could bring our own. So nothing a quick trip to the packy couldn't solve!! A couple of bottles of cabernet, and we were set!
Thanks again!!
hibachi style japanese restaurants
Hello there, I have this up on the Boston board also but then read that perhaps it should be here instead since it's in or around Cape cod)
I have been told of two new restaurants that serve this type of cuisine, one in Plymouth "New Tokyo Japanese" and one in Marshfield called "Aoyama". Has anyone been to either of these and if so, what did you think? I'm trying to expand my fiance's horizons with something he hasn't tried before and have some fun.

Hello there,
I have been told of two new restaurants that serve this type of cuisine, one in Plymouth and one in Marshfield. I'm having a hard time trying to find the names of these on the web (except the one in Plymouth I think is "New Tokyo Japanese"???). The one in Marshfield I can't find but I'm wondering if anyone has been to either of these and if so was it good, is it worth the drive from Sandwich, Cape Cod?
thanks, memomuffin
