Anniversary Italian places...?

Babbo was fantastic, but looking for something a little less expensive & more laid back... nice atmosphere & great food.

Neighborhood not important... although downtown is better.

Thanks!

Dinner Monday night near Ground Zero - suggestion?

I love Tribeca Grill on Greenwich at Franklin. Not sure how close you need to be though.

Great/inexpensive brunch

I'm meeting a friend at Penn Station on Sunday & we are going to make our way up to Central Park. Does anyone have good suggestions for a brunch spot that isn't expensive in Midtown or the UES?

Thank you!

Viking 48" dual fuel range--grill or griddle

I was just with clients making the same selection (I am in construction industry) - our rep says that the grill creates smoke & that most people are more likely to go outside to grill - regardless of the weather. Personally, I'd get the griddle - I'd love to be able to do eggs & bacon & French toast!

Hard to please father

What about Tribeca Grill? Great wine, not frou frou or nouveau... I think it's a great place to take a picky dad... I have one too.

W. Village restaurant that is good for a group?

I had no idea 20 people would say yes to my birthday invite... uh oh! Now what? Any thoughts are appreciated... most be in the Village or W Village. Thanks.

upscale steakhouses that serve burgers too

Harry's Steak (Hanover Square) has a Kobe burger. I haven't been since it's been renovated, but I'm a huge fan of Harry's... probably worth a visit.

Babbo veterans-need a little more help on wine

I recently went with my husband & he doesn't drink, so I ordered by the glass. The waiter was extremely helpful because I generally order California wines & was a little 'clueless' - the whole experience was wonderful - enjoy!

Dinner & Drinks near Bond St/Lafayette?

Try Sala on Bowery - one of my favorite spots for Tapas... they have a nice bar downstairs as well.

Acqua at Peck Slip? (at South Street Seaport) Anyone been?

Is this the place that was formerly Quartino? If so - GREAT spot... what a cozy atmosphere. Not sure if the owners have changed or just the name... but the food used to be delicious - although the portions were very small.

Ling Ling Chinese in Millburn, NJ ?

I honestly think that Ling Ling is my favorite Chinese restaurant ever.... the food is fresh & doesn't taste as heavy & greasy as many other Chinese places. I love everything there!
