Crystal River Suggestions?
I like Pecks Old Port Cove. Half the fun is the drive out to this place though, and there's something very satisfying about drinking beer out of a mason jar. Lots of options for eating crab too.
Cravings on the Water is good or lunch. They make a decent Cuban sandwich.
Charlie's is popular with the older crowd, if I'm thinking of the right place. Their fried shrimp is good though, and they have stone crab.
Any reviews on Oysters restaurant?
Breakfast in downtown St Augustine
I'm looking for some recommendations on breakfast in downtown St. Augustine for this coming Saturday morning. We'll be doing the tourist thing and hitting up Castillo De San Marcos afterward. I figured it be worth trying to find a good alternative to Denny's... Thanks!
Playa del Carmen Lunch near Ferry Suggestions
Pefect, thanks! I'll let you know in a few weeks how it went.
Playa del Carmen Lunch near Ferry Suggestions
I'll be in Playa del Carmen around lunch time to catch a ferry to Cozumel. Was wondering if anyone could recommend some good eats around the ferry for lunch (other than Senor Frogs)? Thanks!

Lombardi's Seafood Market used to get in live ones. I haven't been there in years though... did they move their store from Altamonte to Winter Park?

Frozen Dim Sum Recommendations
Of course frozen isn't as good as the real thing, but when it comes to dim sum, what brands and types do you recommend? I'm especially interested in shrimp products, since I haven't been too happy with those that I've tried so far (too fishy tasting). The market that I go to has about 100 choices to choose from and I could use some help!
Here are ones that I recommend:
Wei Chuan mini pork dumplings
Prime Food mini pork buns
Prime Food sticky rice in lotus leaf
Utila, Bay Islands-Honduras
here's a picture i took from their 3rd story balcony where i was eating, drinking, and relaxing :)
Utila, Bay Islands-Honduras
This response won't do you much good, since you've probably already had your trip, but figured I'd post something anyways. I just got back from Utila and here's where I ate:
Utila Lodge - Eating here is for guests only, but if you happen to stay here, the food is good enough that you won't need to eat anywhere else. Breakfast is hardy with eggs made to order, fresh fruit, and more. The omelettes are pretty damn good. Lunch varies from spaghetti with meat sauce to self serve burritos. Dinner wasn't too notable, with the exception of the beer can chicken and the bbq pork chops!
The Harbor House (Utila Cays) - Beautiful 3-story building on the edge of one of the cays (Pigeon?). The owner has a lot of energy and will talk your ear off about the place. I had a yummy fishburger and 2 Salva Vidas for almost nothing. Would definitely recommend if you stop by the Cays.
Driftwood - Best food I had in Utila. I highly recommend the fish stew and the snapper kebabs. I'm sure the rest of their food is good as well. Pleasant divey atmosphere, on the ocean.
Cafe Mariposa - Best dinner view in Utila. The food wasn't all that remarkable, so I'm just going to talk about the view. Get there about 30 minutes before sunset and try to grab the corner table. We sat and watched local kids jump off a pile of bricks on the pier into the ocean while the sun set.
Evelyn’s BBQ - Evelyn loves Bob Marley. We ate there for lunch and each got a variation of stewed fish. Mine was on a french roll, sandwich style and my friend had it with salad and other side items. I thought it was quite good, but not the best deal in town. View is of "downtown".
Fresh gourmet mushrooms & Crawfish in the RTP/Triangle area?
I've seen live crawfish at Grand Asia
Where to eat in St. Cloud
I ate at Mambo's a couple nights ago. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone that's in a hurry... actually I would, just deal with the slow service cause the food is excellent. Go there with a couple friends, order a bottle of wine, and when your food finally arrives, you won't be disappointed. I strongly recommend the ox-tail. Can't wait to go back... Thanks Sambq!

Best Irish Pub/Restaurant in the Triangle
So I know I'm a little late on this one, since St. Patrick's Day was yesterday, but it got me thinking... who has the best Irish pub experience in the Triangle?
Some things to think about:
Food - most authentic/traditional Irish fare, quality, etc.
Beer - best selection of Irish brews, pulls a great pint of Guinness, etc.
Atmosphere - you feel like you're in Ireland
Service - staff are from Ireland (or at least fake a good accent), are friendly, attentive, etc.
Vit Goal Tofu Restaurant (Korean)- Durham
I've found the service at Vit Goal there to be less than friendly also. I've been glared at, asked "are you sure you want that?" after ordering something, and been made to feel uncomfortable on various visits there. I prefer going to Chosun OK, where the waitresses are smiling and make me feel right at home. They generally have a wider selection of banchan as well.
Where to eat in St. Cloud
I'm going to be staying with my boss in St. Cloud for a few days next month and was wondering where I should be eating. I like just about anything, as long as its good. Any place with a good beer selection is a plus. Thanks!
ISO best of the keys
I agree with you on Bentley's. I just got back from the keys and went to Bentley's twice - it was so good, we had to go back for a second time. Between me and my 3 travel buddies, we put away florida lobster, lobster chowder, 2 types of escargot, dozens of raw oysters, baked mussels, 5 types of crab, stuffed shrimp, tuna sashimi, and some wonderful key lime pie (we saw a box of key limes that had just come in, so this is definitely the real deal). Drinks were great, service was awesome (not a fluke, we had a different server each night and even the bus boys were attentive), and the atmosphere is nice although exclusively indoor. The list of nightly specials that your server will recite to you is dizzying. Prices were not cheap, however... unless you go there during happy hour 4-6? Oysters were dirt cheap during happy hour, as well as many other happy hour and early bird specials. No complaints on the drinks either. From what I've experienced so far, Bentley's is the best in the keys outside of Key West.
breakfast tmrw around MM50 in the Keys?
I just got back from a keys trip and we went to the Wooden Spoon for breakfast one day. It's a total greasy spoon diner type of joint, and our breakfasts were great. I had eggs, toast, grits, bacon, and a pancake... and I cleaned my plate. If you're not expecting much atmosphere and just looking for a great filling breakfast, I strongly recommend this place. We tried the Hungry Tarpon the following day, which was not nearly as good, but not bad.
ISO best of the keys
I just got back from a trip to the keys and the scuba charter we were using recommended Islamorada Fish Co. We decided to try it out despite the warnings I'd seen on Chow.com. The atmosphere is beautiful, with a huge outdoor dining area right by the water. Tiki torches, live reggae music, and island decor is everywhere. The food was rather uninteresting though, and definitely not worth the price. The conch chowder was bland and the cracked conch I had was poorly battered. Their raw oysters were fresh, but cost more than other places nearby. I would've asked our server for something other than cocktail sauce for my cracked conch if I thought she would've been receptive to the request. The service was some of the worst I've ever experience. Our server was extremely unfriendly, unattentive, and probably overworked. I strongly recommend going to Bentley's instead, which is where we went the following night (get there during happy hour!!). Maybe go to IFC afterwards for a couple beers and soak up some of the island feel (their cocktails weren't very good either). This opinion was shared by the other divers in my group as well.
Best Burgers in the Triangle?
Haha, you got me! I shouldn't have been so quick to judge, my apologies. Any suggestions on a good burger in Orlando, FL? I spend a lot of time there.
Best Burgers in the Triangle?
I saw that Jeopardy episode. I found it funny that his life quest was to find the perfect burger and the best one he'd found was a stone's throw from his home town. I think he needs to try a little harder...
Where to buy Rock Shrimp in the Triangle?
The store in Meadowmont let me buy 4 more pounds of them frozen today! Get 'em while you can! :)
