Sat Dinner near Shorewood/Channahon/Minooka/W. Joliet?
Looking for a place to go for casual dinner with my sis and brother in law. My son will be at grandma and grandpa's in Channahon so we're looking for something nearby.
Searches didn't turn up any up to date recommendations.
Thanks.
Frankfort or Mokena lunch spots?

Dinner walking distance to Old Town School (Lincoln & Montrose)
We ended up at 42 N Latitude and were underwhelmed. Good selection of beers on tap, but a VERY noisy room. I had the brined grilled chicken and my DH had the fish & chips special. Our dining companions both had the black bean veggie burger, which I guess they are known for.
The food was acceptable, but not outstanding. And the room was just so so loud! It didn't help that there was an NCAA playoff game going on either.

SF Sunday Breakfast or Brunch
We have time for one last meal before we have to go catch a plane. Sunday breakfast/brunch is open.
We would like to stay close to Union Square.
Any favorites (besides Dottie's)?

Some favorites from our visit were Matt's in the Market, Salumi, and Harvest Vine.
Chicago Hound seeking French near Union Square
We'll be staying in Union Square and are looking for a good, not too fussy French place on our first night in town. What's nearby?
We ate at Fringale during our last trip and enjoyed it, but would like to try somewhere new.

Two couples from the burbs coming in for a concert. Would love to park once and walk to dinner. I'd say $10-20 per entree is the limit--the less expensive, the better.
Open to all cuisines, although we favor cafes and bistros and would like to avoid seafood.
We're clueless--please help!
Two nights and $250 in SF
Two Chicago hounds coming to SF for two nights in April. We have a $250 dining allowance (total).
I have no idea where to start. Can you point me in the right direction?

I'm not fussy.
That said, Mexican is weak here in the Chicago burbs where I live. I miss my Los Angeles Mexican food (lived there for 6 years). Certainly Dallas has some?
I think the key here is location and moderate pricing.
Thanks!

I won't have a car, so staying downtown or venturing out a short cab drive away would be preferred.
