Nice lunch near stadium

Hello all! I will be in Philadelphia for one night to catch a Philly's game this Saturday. I was hoping for suggestions for a nice lunch (price not a problem as long as food is worth it) close to stadium. Thinking new American, gastropub, bistro-like type of food and atmosphere. Thanks!

Suggestions for Suprise 40th Birthday Party (Queens and Nassau)

Hello--I'm looking to host a suprise 40th birthday party for my husband. I would like to do something at a bar, with a private/semi private party room--open bar with pass hor d'ouvres for about 30-40 people. Not a sit-down, more of a cocktail party. Looking at Astoria, LIC, Bayside or Nassau. Thanks!

Woodstock, VT suggestions

Hello all, thank you for all the suggestions.

Our time was limited as we were in the area for a wedding, but we were able to enjoy wonderful meals during our stay. We had dinner at the Parker House Inn, which had an inventive menu, beautiful ambiance and the food was delicious. Every dish that each member of our party ordered was just exquisite.

We had after party drinks the next day at the Bentley, which had a great atmosphere and good bar food. We had breakfast at the Mountain Creamery; good meal, although we got there 5 minutes past breakfast hours and they refused to let us order breakfast. (It really was only 5 minutes past...seemed a bit rigid.) Regardless, we look forward to returning to the area! Thanks again.

Rehoboth Beach Delaware--Long Weekend

Hello everyone! A bit delayed but just wanted to report back on our dining experiences in Rehoboth. Overall, we had a wonderful time and enjoyed every meal! Nage was a favorite, with a very inventive menu and our meals were executed to perfection. Oyster House was also delicious, as was our dinner at the Shorebreak Lodge (exra points for creative menu). Highly recommend both. We enjoyed good beer and oysters at Happy Hour at Fin's. Looking forward to our return! Thanks for the suggestions.

PORT ST LUCIE HELP PLEASE!

Yes, Conchy Joe's definetly offers more ambience than quality, but I will certainly recommend the tilapia baked in the bag!! :)

PORT ST LUCIE HELP PLEASE!

Actually just came back from a quick trip down to PSL/Jensen Beach. Flagler Grill in downtown Stuart was delicious (took the recommendation from this thread). Also had a great dinner at West End Cafe in PSL West. Conchy Joe's was, as always, fun and delicous. Their tilapia baked in the bag was just perfect. Dena's cafe is a little mom and pop luncheonette with a great menu, too. Hope this helps!

Weekend in DC--restaurant suggestions

Thanks!!! It's been a while, so to the best of my recollection, I had the sea bass, which was amazing. My fiancee had the pork, which was mouthwatering! Thumbs up for Birch and Barley

Weekend in DC--restaurant suggestions

Would like to thank everyone for their great suggestions! We went to churchkey for drinks and appetizers, which was fantastic. Great beer selection, helpful staff and delicious appetizers. It was then followed by dinner at Birch and Barley which was PHENOMINAL. The menu had so many fantastic options, and the food was beyond delicious.

As an aside, my boyfriend had proposed earlier that day while visiting the Monuments :) So our fantastic waiter at Birch and Barley gave us complimentary deserts with Congratulations written on the plate!!! It was a memorable end to a memorable day :)

Near Villanova

Thanks all for your suggestions! Went to Verdad, and loved it! The food was fantastic with a very creative menu. My only complaint was that the Tortilla Espanola seemed a little undercooked, but only one complaint out of 16 tapas from a table of ladies? I think that's a compliment. haha Would recommend Verdad!

Near Villanova

Hello foodies! Going to my nephew's graduation at Villanova; heading into the area a day early and looking for recommendations for a great meal with good atmosphere (as it will be a mini family reunion). Quality key, price not a factor as long as food is worth it. Any suggestions? Thanks (Posted this in Philadelphia board also, but just realized Villanova is outside of Philly).

two twentysomethings on a boston foodie adventure :)

Would recommend the Franklin in South End. I'm a NY foodie and was in Boston for a quick weekend and loved the Franklin. They just hired a new head chef--the menu was inventive, the food fantastic! Would certainly return in a heart beat!

ANNIVERSARY TRIP TO FLORIDA KEYS

Just arrived from a vacation in Key West--my first time there and loved it!
I recommend Nine One Five on Duval, excellent. Great menu, great service, all around winner. Santiago's Bodega also excellent. It had a very inventive menu, great service and probably the best bread pudding I've had in my life. Very small, however, so reservations are a must.
El Sigoney --very casual cuban fare, a mom and pop feeling to it, but good food.
Louie's Backyard--just went for drinks, the view is beautiful. Heard mixed reviews re: the food, though.
Roof top cafe--I sampled a few appetizers, which I enjoyed very much. Main entree nothing spectacular though. Good location near Mallory Square and you are on the rooftop, which is a nice view.
Enjoy!

Best Brunch Bets: Meritage Cafe, Sweets and Savories, or Erwin?

Just had brunch at Sweet and Savories for the first time this past weekend. Was so disappointed with the rushed and inattentive service. Yes, the price is a bargain ($16 brunch menu) but our first course (soup) was served and approximately two minutes later, the main course was served. I had not even finished soup, and the waiter was obviously aware of the fact that he had just previously brought out the first course, as he apologized for the "chef rushing through the courses." Regardless, he left my main course on the table, so I rushed through my soup. As I began to work on my main course (which was now cold), I was even more disappointed to find that my boyfriend's pancakes had been burnt at the bottom! At this point, after 2 courses, did they then bring our rolls/muffins...at the end of the meal. The waiter did not even return once to check on the service. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Spend a little more and go somewhere else.

Any thoughts on these? Other suggestions? Thanks!

PORT ST LUCIE HELP PLEASE!

My folks are down there, and yes, unfortunately, way too many chain restaurants. However, there a few good eats: Conchy Joe's--delicious and a lot of fun (raeggae bands on the weekends), 11 Maple (never been but have heard such great things), and El Cubanito (inexpensive home style Cuban). Enjoy!
