East Dallas Breakfast Burrito's

I tried a search and didn't find much over the past year under "breakfast burrito" and would like to get some recommendations on the best places to get them. Ideally in the Lakewood/M Streets/Uptown area, but would be willing to go out a bit further if the burritos are really worth it!

Best Bakery for Birthday Cake (Dallas)

We've ended up using Society Bakery for the last three cake's we've needed. They haven't been cheap, but the cake as well as the decoration have been excellent.

West Plano - casual lunch spots

For pizza in the West Plano area, I recommend Joe's Pizza at Parker and the Tollway. Also, I tend to enjoy Noodle Ave. near Park and the Tollway. In the same area, there is Moo Ya (sp?) which has been discussed on the board before and I find it very good.

Best Grilled Cheese in Dallas

Title says it all. I'm looking for the best "classic" grilled cheese in Dallas. I've had them at Burger House, Peggy Sue's, and *gasp* Sonic. I think out of the three, Peggy Sue's was the best, but figure there has to be a resident expert in the Chow community.

What's the Chow opinion of where the best can be found?

Best Bakery for Birthday Cake (Dallas)

I did a quick search and didn't see much discussion around which bakeries have the best cakes in Dallas. I live near downtown, but office up in Plano so any location between would be great. I saw good things about Doughmonkey, but since they have closed their retail business I'm not sure how easy it is to go and see what the cakes look like. I'd like to get something that looks as good as it tastes.

Anyone have thoughts around Romano's, Society Bakery, Dallas Affairs, La Duni?

Thanks in advance.

Chili in Dallas

I've seen recommendations for a number of different types of food, but I did a search and didn't find anything in particular on chili in Dallas. Now I know there is a huge variance in what people consider chili, but in order to get the most feedback, I'm going to leave it open to all interpretations of chili: beans/no beans, ground beef, etc. . .

Indian in Dallas?

I'm not sure if it is still there as I haven't been in Richardson lately, but we used to go to a place called Chaat Cafe. It was a nice quick and cheap lunch and was always a favorite of the Southern Indians I work with.

Tapas in Dallas?

I would have to recommend Cafe Madrid. They have excellent fried calamari which we always get with the spicy brava sauce. They also have a pretty good tortilla espanola. Our other standard is to get a plate of cheese with bread and some of the jamon serrano.

NY Style Pizza-DFW?

I'd recommend Pastazio's in either Addison or in Uptown. In my opinion, their pizza is the next best thing to being in NYC.
