Anniversary dinner for inlaws....near Nashua
My inlaws are visiting from NJ and want to go out for dinner (alone) on their anniversary. Having two toddlers, we don't go to many "fancy" places. Where would you go within 20-30 minutes of Nashua?
They like to feel special and well attended to. They aren't into ethnic or adventurous cuisines. She's not a huge meat eater and enjoys local, fresh ingredients. Seafood is fine, but not shellfish. He eats most anything.
Thanks for your help!
New places coming to Nashua
New Subway at Exit 6...where Quiznos used to be, behind Kohls.
Charlie's Sports Bar is going in where Pearl St Pizza used to be.
New places coming to Nashua
Bahama Breeze is already open. This place is right downtown on the east side of Main Street. It's south of Saffron Bistor, but north of Cupcakes and Cannolies.
New places coming to Nashua
I was downtown yesterday and saw a new restaurant going in. Didn't catch the name, but it said something about being a taste of Florida. Anyone have info?
View lunch in La Jolla?
for a more casual view, you could try lunch at the gliderport at torrey pines. it's outdoor dining at picnic tables.
Roadtrip up East Coast
We love BT's Smokehouse in Sturbridge MA...always stop in for some Q on our drive from NH to NJ.
Goody Cole's in Epping NH is excellent as well for BBQ.
Love Republic Cafe in Manchester NH
Petey's in Rye for a lobster roll. I've also heard great things about the lobster rolls and clam chowder at The Beach Plum, but I've never been.
If you drive thru Hampton, get Blink's Fried Dough.
Wedding in Southern New Hampshire or Maine?
I think this was the reception area....
Rye Harbor State Park Pavilion and Group Use Area
Rye Harbor State Park - Off Route 1A, Rye NH 03870; 603-436-1552
With scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Isles of Shoals, and Rye Harbor (also called Ragged Neck), this park is a beautiful location for a wedding, corporate event, or family reunion. Groups of up to 125 people can be accommodated. Amenities include fishing, flush toilets, and picnicking.
Pavilion - Capacity: 40; Fee: $300.00. Day Use Area - Capacity: 120; Fee: $600.00.
And the ceremony was nearby on a brick covered area that was lined with roses.
There is also a very cute stone church in the area...but it's very small and maybe holds 50 people. If you want the name, I'll search for it.
Wedding in Southern New Hampshire or Maine?
my cousin had her wedding outdoors near rye...in a rose garden. she was able to bring in her own food and catered a clam bake. i'll have to find the location for you.
Luna Caprese in Merrimack, nh
good to hear. they have poor reviews on yelp so i've been hesitant to try it out.
What's for Dinner? #140 [old]

What's for Dinner? #140 [old]
needed something quick since i just got home from work....making burgers with cumin, curry, figs, and pine nuts in them. and organic tater tots for the kids...i figure organic makes them better, right? :) some green beans...and i have some butternut squash for the 2 year old since he's picky.
What discontinued products do you miss?
Russell stover rosebud mints
Sara lee frozen cheese Danish...came six in an aluminum tray.

My Anaheim choices...good or bad?
yup, that's the ice cream place! it looks yummy. and thanks for the mama d's rec.....i have seen that recommended before and we'll put it on our list.
My Anaheim choices...good or bad?
kingkong - i live in nh where the lobster is $6.99 per pound :)
ubergeek - i'm thinking we'll do take out at OC Poultry and I was planning on Brianna's...glad you mentioned it!!
For night two, I'll pay it by ear. If the boys are cranky and need take out, we'll do Cortina's. If they are happy and can handle a restaurant, we'll do Olive Tree.
Dinner near Disneyland Friday Night?
I usually see Napa Rose suggested. I would share my dining plans, but ours are all ethnic and not what you requested.
casual carlsbad
Will be there in about 4 weeks with my kiddos. Most posts on here seem to go more on the upscale side for the area. I'm looking for good food that I can grab to go or not worry about cranky kids who have been at Legoland all day.
Here are my thoughts, please let me know if I'm off on any them:
Yoshino Japanese Deli - is it open for dinner? can't find much on hours
Campus Cafe - breakfast and/or lunch
Lola's 7 Up Market and Deli
Paradise Pizza - I don't need arcades like Pizza Port as my kids are 2 and 3. I like that you can get mozz only instead of a cheese blend.
Spiritos - another mozz only cheese pizza joint
Tip Top Meats
Don's Country Kitchen for breakfast.
Any I should avoid or definitely try?
My Anaheim choices...good or bad?
Headed to CA next month. We'll have the kids in tow...they are great at restaurants but with the time change and days at the park, I'm looking for casual and easy.
Here's where I'm thinking of for dinners in Anaheim:
OC Poultry and Rotisserie
Forn Al Hara or Al Amir - which is better???
Cortina's
Last night over in Hawthorne area:
The Kettle. I'm not thinking the food will be amazing, but it looks like a good location with lots of choices for the kiddos. Just want something easy that last night before flying out. And then I saw an ice cream place nearby that I need to try and find again via google. Kids can walk on the beach one last time before heading back east.
Good picks?
Lunch after butterfly place, westford
Coming from Nashua. It's amazing...we live so close but NEVER go to Westford/Lowell etc. I'm not familiar with them at all. I didn't realize Lowell was only 10 minutes away! Any cuisine is fine. We'll have 4 adults and two toddlers, but the boys are great eaters.
Lunch after butterfly place, westford
Any recs on where to have lunch after the butterfly place? I've never been and I'm not familiar with westford.
Can't Miss Spots In York Area
I know it's not remarkable and it's a tourist trap, but I like Goldenrod. It's fun to watch them make taffy...plus, they have cream cheese and jelly sandwiches on the menu!
Trader Joe's Yea/Nay Thread - 2nd quarter 2012
good to know...thanks!! i also noticed today that they are made in ireland...you don't see that too often.

Walking the Freedom Trail with Family - Need help finding Cheap Must Eats
Nothing to add...yet. But I want to follow this. I'm headed there next week. I've read the other posts, but want to see if anything new pops up on this one. For me, I'd even like to see great places to grab a piece of chocolate, or an amazing muffin, or some delicious ice cream....
Lunch near Children's Museum in Wilmington
Ended up at Iron Hill. Food was pretty good. I enjoyed my mesclun salad...added chicken.
It was very convenient to the museum...was able to walk over.
Would go here again. Thanks!

Kearny Mesa area dining
Thanks everyone!! We love Asian food.....I prefer Korean...hubby and oldest son are huge sushi fans. My 3 year old can put away sushi with the best of them...eel is his favorite...go figure. Glad to hear we'll have so many options nearby!
I will try the search suggested. When I searched Kearny Mesa, nothing valuable came up.
Thanks again!
Kearny Mesa area dining
Staying at the Residence Inn Kearny Mesa. I know I can find great restaurant recs in the San Diego area easily on this board. But I need some nearby backups in case the kids are tired and cranky. Are there any good options near the hotel for dinner? Any cuisine is fine.
Thanks!
