Must Find! "Annies Your Favourite Garlic Hummus"
She makes a jalapeno(sp), Garlic and black bean as well as regular flavor bobbi's. For those posts in New Jersey - Mrs. Greens carries as well as Whole Foods, NJ but not Whole Foods in NY. If you call United Natural Foods and speak to anyone in the sales department they will give you a bunch of stores in your area that carry their products (800 451 4520) - Once I got some numbers from United Natural, I just called Mrs. Greens and asked them to order me a case - name is "Bobbi's Your Favourite Hummus" - beware, $7 dollars a container in NY (well worth it). I found out the reason a lot of places dont carry it is because people dont want to pay that much for hummus and it is so fresh that it discolors quickly - They ARe ALL MAD!!
Can you Freeze Hummus?
I guess I thought you could not freeze milk because ive tried to freeze sour cream and other dips ive made using sour cream, and it came out all funky clumpy...also my attempts to freeze guacamole has never turned out well.
It sounds from your reply (and thank you for that) that if I use the right container it should freeze okay. Thanks, I will try.
Can you Freeze Hummus?
I just bought a case of Fresh Hummus from Bobby's, thanks to help from chowhound. Is it okay to freeze hummus...and if so, how do I defrost it without it coming out funky? tips appreciated on freezing & defrosting fresh food. and for the dumb question, why cant you freeze milk?

I have a zillion frequent flier miles, plan to use them for a nice weekend in a hotel. May stay in NYC hotel but I hoped someone might have a fantastic food/bar/room service (eastern part of US) dining experience to impart. thanks.

I have to stay pet friendly - so the Lowes Philly (SoleFood?), Rittenhouse and the Westin are my best big dog picks.
But since I wont get out to eat too much, must make sure there is a great late night bar and all day fancy shmansy and down home eats. any advice here much appreciated. traveling by car, so can stay anywhere in city. thanks!

the name is "Bobbi's Your Favourite Hummus" I screwed up, sorry! she makes original, garlic and jalepeno(sp!) i got a call back this morning from United foods (800 451 4520) spoke to a nice lady in sales department who gave me names and phone numbers of small specialty food stores in area that carry United Food products. After several calls, one place agreed to order Bobbi's Hummus for me. I ordered three cases, let me know if anybody wants some...YIPPPEEE.

I am logged in as GravyDog, but when I 'click' on replies, there is nothing. It just bounces back to same page. Is there some reason why I cant read replies? are they hidden somewhere that I am not seeing?
I Did all the usual -log out log back in, use different browsers, refreshed windows on both...blah, blah. nothing is working.

She is located in Philedelphia - my calls have gone unanswered. Apparently distrubuted through United Foods but they havent answered my calls either. No retailers in NYC carry her fabulous, Tahini free, white container of goodness like you would not believe.

this lady makes hummus without Tahini - they used to sell it at University Market, now closed - as well as the old balduccis'. I called her place in Philedelphia and she put me in touch with her distrubutor - United Foods who are all a bunch of complete nin com poopers. It comes in a white container, costs about six bucks and is the best hummus on the planet. Unlike anything - I beg for any help. thanks!
