Recommendations for a downtown spot
I'd vote Ducca in the Westin Hotel. Very spacious, nice looking place and great food. There are options for veggies too.
Oakland: Piedmont Ave. recommendations?
Bay Wolf is always delicious - it's more pricey/classy than most of the spots on Piedmont Ave. Dopo is also yummy and I like Cesar too, but it can be a little pricey.
Feedback Requested on 4 Potential Dinner Places
Looking for a good dinner place for me and a friend. We're females in our mid-20's. Restaurants in the running include: Bar Tartine, Universal Cafe, Laiola and Woodward's Garden. I've been to brunch at both Bar Tartine and Universal Cafe and loved it, but I've never been to either place for dinner.
What would you pick out of the 4 places listed?
Anyone Eaten at Quince Recently?
Going to Quince on Friday for the 1st time and I would love to know what are the must haves for dinner. I don't eat meat but love seafood.

I just got back from lunch there and LOVED it. I had the argula salad (which was huge) and the Cod (delicious!). We started with the risotto fritters that were also very tasty. Even the olive oil on the table was really good. I'd recommend it. I can't wait to go back for happy hour - they have a great patio.

Where to take Mom to Dinner Near Curran Theatre
I’m taking my visiting mother to see Jersey Boys and looking for dinner recommendations walking distance to the Curran Theatre. My mom’s only request is that the food is not spicy (at all!). Some places I’m thinking about include Canteen, Colibri Mexican Bistro, Out the Door (this is the only place I’ve been to out of the bunch and loved it but I’m worried that my mom will think it’s too spicy), Cortez – any other suggestions for places walking distance to the Curran Theatre? Looking for a dinner suggestion near Cafe Du Nord in the Castro. There are 4 of us and we are open to types of food except for chinese, thai, and indian. Some of the places we're considering are Home, 2223 Restaurant, Destino, Catch, but open to other ideas. Please let me know your favorite place in the area.

we ended up going to Universal Cafe and the brunch was fantastic! I highly recommend it. There was about a 30 min. wait at 9 am though, but well worth it.
