Best Fish Market on Lower Cape?

Are there any close fish/seafood mongers that sell lobster near Chatham? I don't mind driving an hour for some great food, but closer options are definitely more acceptable to the wife and kids.

Himalaya House - Eat in?

Yes, it's carry out only. I work near by and anytime someone orders from there, the food drives me crazy. In a good way.

Their take out portions are generous. Their saag panner and chiken tika have served three meals for my wife and 2 year old.

Real Butchers in Baltimore

I was looking for a good butcher as well and found Treuth's mentioned here a few years ago in the archives. I went there this morning and it was busy!

I bought a choice rib roast for 9.98 a pound. Apparently they run specials for two weeks. They currently have NY Strip for 9.98.

The lady helping me says their beef is aged for 10 days. The cut I had felt pretty dry. I am letting age a few more days in the fridge before I enact the Alton Brown cooking method.

That being said, I was looking for a good butcher since I typically buy my meats from Costco. While the costco meats are great priced, they are usually light in flavor-at least their rib eye, NY strip, and filets. Hopefully this rib roast will taste great. If it's not significantly better, I guess I will be returning to Costco. Costco's price for a boneless rib eye roast was 7.49 as opposed to Treuths's 11.99.

Another point in seeking a butcher was the "advice" in meat selection. While they were very helpful, being busy didn't offer the most conducive environment to talk meat. The lady helping me today, didn't even seem to understand the term "prime". When I asked if they had any prime cuts of a rib roast (aka prime rib)-she didn't know and her mentor pointed to the choice cut I had just bought.

Oh well-I'll wait on Monday to see how it tastes.

First Date: Baltimore Restaurant

I second the Ze Mean Bean, although be sure to get seated on the first floor. The first floor has access to the live music (if they are playing). The second floor is not as charming.

There specials are really good, although my wife and I seem to prefer their basic Slavic dishs such as the perogies and halupki.

Your favorite sandwich. Ones you make at home.

Homemade bread (this is the deal breaker), rare roast beef, realy salty and sour dill pickles, sharp chedder and horseradish mayo.

It's messy but good.

First Post-Hunan Noodle in Parsippany

My eyes were opened to Chowhound this Christmas break. Wow.

I have been coming to New Jersey from Baltimore every major holiday for the past 9 years to visit the in-laws. I never really had to look for great chinese places to eat because they knew where to take take me. There doesn't seem to be too many active posts in the Parsippany-Troy area, although I suppose the Tristate area is a large region. Anyway-I wanted to throw out my rec for some excellent value eats!

I can't read a lick of chinese (go figure I am an ABC), but their authentic chinese dishes are excellent! My wife loves their beef noodle soup and I love their "chicken over rice". The chicken over rice is essentially a fried chicken leg, with a wonderful scallion curry sauce, with bok choy and mustard greens.

Other people let me know your Northern Jersey recs, because I love to eat while "vacationing" with the in-laws.
