Portland Snacks & Drinks
Ha! Sorry - my definition of clubbish is young, singles dance place, meet market, etc. Thanks for the suggestions!
Portland Snacks & Drinks
I'm flying into Portland next Friday night. We'd like to go someplace for some wine and snacks around 10pm. Not looking for anyplace clubbish. Any recommendations?
Gourmet Food Shop in VT
I'll be in Central VT this weekend and would like to make some appetizers for company. Can anyone recommend a great supermarket or gourmet store near Waitsfield, Middlebury area?

Houston's in Riverside Square Mall has a very good veggie burger.
Wine & Snacks near Nanuet
Looking for a place to go Friday night for wine and appetizers near Nanuet. Any suggestions? Wine bars in the area?
Joey Thai in Montclair
Joey Thai has great food and Joey is such a personable host. After having a nice conversation with him, he went to the kitchen and cooked our meals. We felt we were guests in his home.
Prix Fixe Ridgewood Area
I'm taking some relatives out for dinner but am trying to keep to a budget. Wondering if there's any good restaurants in the Ridgewood, NJ area that offer a decent prix fixe meal. LaTour is a bit pricey at $45. Brazzini is $30 but sounds like the food is lacking. Thanks!
Lincoln Center Restaurants
Fiorello's is booked so I'll have to try that another time! I think we'll give Shun Lee a shot.
Lincoln Center Restaurants
Thanks! Fiorello's sounds good. Wonder if it's too late for reservation. Any feedback on Shun Lee Cafe?
Lincoln Center Restaurants
Going to Lincoln Center tonight and I'm looking for a casual restaurant within walking distance of Avery Fischer Hall. Any cuisine is fine, but would like a place that serves wine. Any thoughts on Ivy's?
UES - After work
Any recommendations for an after work get together on the Upper East Side that has good drinks and snacks?
Sunday Lunch - Bergen County (not brunch)
Does anyone have any suggestions for a Sunday birthday lunch around Bergen County. From Glen Rock, I would travel up to 40 minutes. My guests don't like Asian food. Something like Chez Catherine, which is not open on Sunday. Thanks.
Northern NJ: Saturday Lunch
I wanted to follow up on my lunch at Chez Catherine yesterday. What a wonderful place. Their website incorrectly stated that they were open for lunch on Saturdays, but they honored the reservation anyway and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. We started off with a delicious Winter Vegetable Tart which was like a cheese souffle with spinach with a flaky crust. Mom and her cousin had the lamb chops for an entree which they loved, and I had the organic roast chicken accompanied by squash and mashed potatoes. It was cooked perfectly. For dessert, Lemon Tart and Chocolate Profiteroles which were rich and delicious. They have a nice selection of wines by the glass. The owners were very gracious and hospitable. My cousin has already started passing the word about what a wonderful birthday lunch she had and stirred up lots of interest, even from those in Bergen county. From Glen Rock, it only took 40 minutes. Thanks again for the suggestion. It was a winner!
Northern NJ: Saturday Lunch
Yes, I'd like to explore Westfield. I drove through the center of town a few years ago and it looked interesting. Thanks for the suggestion!
Northern NJ: Saturday Lunch
Thank you so much! I think we'll try Chez Catherine. It's just what I was looking for.
Northern NJ: Saturday Lunch
Yes, more upscale and continental cuisine. She loves HoHoKus Inn but I wanted to take her some place different. Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Essex preferred. She lives in Glen Rock so I'd rather not travel more than 45 minutes. Thanks!
Northern NJ: Saturday Lunch
I'm taking a relative out for lunch on Sat but there's not a lot of nice places open at that time. She doesn't like seafood or ethnic food so this is pretty difficult. Any suggestions? Thanks!
