Pasta Salad with Spinach, Olives, and Mozzarella

I followed this recipe exactly and the result was excellent. I made it the day before and tossed it frequently so that the flavors would meld. Luckily, there were leftovers so I enjoyed it the next day, also. This is a relatively expensive recipe to make, but if you want to impress, go for it!

Romantic dinner Fort Worth, TX

Once again, I highly recommend St. Emilion in Fort Worth, on 7th Street. The food is excellent and the prices excellent for the for the quality. You won't find a better restaurant in Fort Worth. Yes, the Italian Inn has little booths to afford you privacy, but, in my opinion, the food is only mediocre.

Fresh Ginger Cake

I made this again for my son and daughter-in-law. It was gone in less than 24 hours. I substituted pure maple syrup for the molasses as I didn't quite have enough molasses. I also used grapeseed oil instead of vegetable oil. Since I used pure maple syrup, I cut down on the sugar and used 1/2 cup of sugar instead of 3/4. Still very yummy! It's always a hit.

Fort Worth Must Eats

St. Emillion on 7th Street. Small, cozy, country French restaurant. Prix fixe menu (around $38). Worth every penny and more. Reservations advised. Every bit as good as Daniels in NYC per my sister who has dined at both St. Emillion and Daniels.

ISO Steamed Mussels

Sapristi's in Fort Worth, 2418 Forest Park Blvd., FW 76110. They are closed on Mondays. Mussels are their specialty and they offer them steamed 6 different ways. It's one of my favorite restaurants in Fort Worth. Everything on their menu is excellent.

Angelo's has the reputation, but it's hit or miss. I much prefer Cousins. Red Hot and Blue's dry rub ribs are excellent also.

For great food (fine dining), I recommend St. Emillion in Fort Worth. It's on 7th Street. Reservations needed. Another place with great food is Sapristi's on Forest Park in Fort Worth.

Food and atmosphere are the key here. Neither are wild places. You go there for the food and the service.
