Pinkie's Bakery, SF - Now open - any reports?
Went yesterday for breakfast - we had the pecan sticky bun and asked lady behind the counter if we could substitute the quiche in the bento box with the curry pumpkin one - she agreed and it was yummy! The bento box came with a peeled orange and a small container of granola with yoghurt (the granola had puffed rice - not the usual fare). Then we went and got the same bento to take home for lunch :)
Tokyo eats
My wife and I will be in Tokyo from Nov 8 - Nov 15. For the first night - our flight gets in at about 6:30 in the evening. We plan to take the Narita express into tokyo - but are still assuming we won't be there before 9:30 - 10 pm. Any suggestions for dinner at that time in Asakusa? (we are staying pretty close to the Kuramae station.)
Also over the rest of the days we would love to have some okonomiyaki - and anyhing else you think we should! We are looking for cheap to mid range meals for most days - with maybe 2 not to be missed ones thrown in. (just to make it fun - between my wife and I - we dont eat beef or pork )

I'd tell you to head for Nani's Cafe - not only does it meet your requirements - it's quiet and they have yummy sandwiches but above all - the two guys who run it are super super nice..

It's a friend's birthday and I am looking for Lunch/ Brunch recommendations... What about Slanted Door? I keep reading mixed reviews here...
A place with a view/ near a park... somewhere we can walk around a bit before/ after the meal.

We will be driving from San Francicso to LA tomorrow.
Although we would prefer the coastal route, the fog will probably push us onto 101.
Any suggestions on where to eat an early breakfast? We plan to leave at 5am.
Also, we've heard a lot about La super rica in santa barbara. any comments?
