Thanks Kelli2006. I'd received similar advice from another blog source but unfortunately, the blossoms on my plants are covered with very prickly stuff that tends to get stuck in your skin like cactus needles. I found that out the hard way ;0) I'm sure that some varieties of puumpkin will produce edible blossoms but I'm very hesitant to try these although I do have a huge abundance of them even in mid-September. Now what to do with all the pumpkins is another story... |

I have an abundance of pumpkin blossoms and am wondering if anyone has ever used them interchangably with summer squash blossoms? I hesitate to do so as it is a winter squash. I've never had them and am also wondering if they are edible at all. |
