Thanks for your generous reply. Yes, I saw Penelope's on an earlier posting -- sounds like a fine option. I'll check out the Guy and Gallard shop too.

Many folks mentioned Waterfront Ale House. I'll try that for a pre-theatre meal one night.

I usually stay in Chelsea where I grab breakfast at The Dish (W. 20th @ 8th) and a pre-curtain bowl of calo verde at Cabana Carioca (123 W. 45th b. 6th & 7th). The soup is part of the bar special favored by theatre folks; otherwise you have to pay entree prices in the dining area.
