Roasted green beans -- a revelation!

I always try to roast my veggies. It adds a different dimension to the flavors. Served roasted green beans today, in fact! I also cook asparagus this way as well as squash! To the squash I had a splash of balsamic vinegar. AWESOME!!

Dipping sauce for fresh fruit?????

8 oz. container of sour cream (even fat-free works with this one.), 1/4 cup. brown sugar and a good handful of coconut!! Let the flavors meld a couple of hours or overnight. Mix well and serve w/fruit for a tropical taste!! Been making this for years. Always a hit!!
Enjoy!!

What to put in bread pudding besides/instead of raisins - currants? Something else?

Bread pudding is a wonderful bucket for anything in the cabinet/fridge. I use raisins....dried apples....dried apricots...walnuts....figs. Just about anything on the shelf.
It's quite forgiving and handles everything, well!! A nice
sauce w/Grand Marnier works well, too!
Good Luck!

Has anyone been to the Paker House, Quechee VT?

Ah...right! Never dined there.....although have been to Simon Pearce many times. Our condo is near there. While I've enjoyed Simon Pearce the food hasn't been consistant. Prince & Pauper has always been consistant and special. However, I still like S.P....especially, the glassware!

Hi!
Is that on the road to Woodstock? I think we've dined there but it wasn't memorable.....if it's where I'm thinking.
However, the BEST restaurant I've enjoyed in Woodstock is
Prince and Pauper. AWESOME!! A very small cellar type. Intimate with fantastic food and service. Prixe fix. If you go there you'll see what I mean!!
Happy Dining.....
