I was near Edison, NJ and noticed a restaurant called Lam Brothers which used to be on 108 Street, where Chosen stands now. When Lam's closed, years ago, the owner said that he was moving to Jersey. Wonder if it is the same owner, if it is, I'm taking a trip to see him for ribs and shrimp toast!!!!

Fantastic pizza. Thin crust...anybody else familiar with it. It is Argentine pizza
Chewy, not crispy crust pizza (with or without cornmeal)
If you go to the Clinton in Whitestone, you will know what I mean. The crust is slightly thicker than the thin stuff. The sauce and cheese are happily enconsed on top and it is so generously topped that the pizza slightly sags unfde the weight of all that goodness.

I've noticed that pizza has been favoring the thin, crispy crust lately. Does anyone remember the chewy, hefty pizza with the chewy crust. The Clinton in Whitestone used to make it. Anybody know of places who still make the chewy (Neopolitan) style? Thanks

Best dim sum in Brooklyn?
Pings on Queens Blvd (near the old Elks club in Elmhurst) has very good dim sum, too.
Old fashioned Red Sauce Italian Restaurant
the Clinton on Clintonville in Whitestone
Restaurant on 94th st
It looks like a beach shack located between the airport and Northern. It has a buffet for $7.50. Does anyone know it? It looks very out of place but it fascinates me. I tried calling the number but the person who answered the phone did not speak English.
Is Jade Mountain still around?
I heard that the owner was killed in a traffic accident last year.
where can I buy a dry aged t-bone steak in Queens?
Great, thanks. I've been going to Empire Meats for a while, never thought of asking about steak, as I am too overwhelmed by their hotdogs and smoked pork chops. Fabulous, great place.
Does any one know about the Rolling Roast...it's a food truck or restaurant in Queens?

butterfly shrimp in my mind should be: a jumbo butterflied shrimp topped with a partially cooked piece of bacon lightly which is then coated with egg. The shrimp is fried and served in a sweet sauce with sliced onions. Thre is a current trend to add orange sauce, chopped nuts or a myriad of veggies to the dish. Some restaurants overcoat the shrimp and bacon with egg. Does anyone know what I am talking about? And, if you do, please let me know where I can find it in the tri state area...preferable Manhatta or Queens
