Montreal and Tremblant help

Tremblant on the hill has little to nothing but mediocrity and convenience. For apres ski drinks and apps La Forge/Avalanche as good as any. For evening dining head into town(old St Jovite 10minutes by car). Seb is one of our favourites and Cheval de Jade also does a good job for upscale fine dining . For typical roadhouse Quebec food and kid friendly Moe's is always fun(chain) but they do a good job on everything.

St. Lawrence Market in yet another top 10 listing!

SLM is what is is....a very nice farmers market. I wouldn't call it world class but when in TO I love to make a visit especially in August when the bulk of fruit and veg are in full throttle.

There are markets in major centers all over the world. Certainly Ben Thanh Market in Saigon is amazing but there are amazing markets in every major Vietnamese city that make SLM seem simple and small. Every community/suburb has a market like all over the world. You just have to travel to see how limited we are. Buenos Aeries/Santiago/Montivideo central market areas make SLM seem small and deprived. For TO/Canada SLM is a wonderful market but certainly nowhere close to being in the worlds top 10!

Maple Butter

Maple butter is made after the syrup phase bringing it up to ?? temperature and whisking it until it magically turns to the consistency of maple butter.

I love it on toast/bagel with peanut/almond butter instead of jam or just on toast instead of jam. It is expensive but delicious if you enjoy maple products.
