Need recommendations for caterers for a bris
Not sure what you mean by "inexpensive" as that is really subjective, but check out Tender Greens. They catered my baby shower and it was around $15 pp (I think). The food was great and staff wonderful - they were very flexible on multiple diet restrictions.
How to cook beef shell roast?
Awesome - thank you so much!! Helps tremendously. We usually do Standing Rib Roast but the butcher convinced my mom to get this...I do most of the cooking and wasn't sure how to do this.
How to cook beef shell roast?
Cooking beef shell roast for the first time and not finding many recipes/instructions. Would love tips and/or recipes? How long do I cook it for ? It's 6 lbs and tied. Thanks in advance!
Santa Monica/Malibu Lunch - With Twin Babies (3 months old)
Thanks again for the suggestions - we ended up at Zengo and it worked really well. Except for the parking situation --- all the valets were full and the parking lots were a nightmare. It look almost 45 min to get a spot.
But I digress...the food and drinks were great at Zengo. I think we tried everything on the menu - stand outs included the beef tenderloin benedict, seafood ceviche, thai chicken empanadas, grilled achiote salmon. They were very accommodating with our double stroller and gave a us table that was not near a lot of people. Perfect afternoon :)
Santa Monica/Malibu Lunch - With Twin Babies (3 months old)
Thank you so much for all the suggestions! We are considering Zengo or Tra di Noi. Will let you know what we pick - and report back on the food.
Santa Monica/Malibu Lunch - With Twin Babies (3 months old)
It's my DH's birthday next weekend and we wanted to go out to a nice brunch/lunch - that was in an area where we could maybe go for a walk before or after. We have twin baby girls that are 3 months old so it needs to be baby friendly. We are open to other areas also if you have another great suggestion. Pretty open to type of food. Probably entrees under $25 would be preferable.
Thanks in advance!
Lunch spot for a baby shower
Years ago I went to a nice baby shower at Cafe Bizou in Sherman Oaks. Looks like they have a party brunch menu for $19.95 pp. I believe they have no/really small corkage fee so you could bring your own wine.

Maestro's - first visit tomorrow night - any first-timer tips for me?
I like upstairs because it has windows...downstairs dining room seems more like a banquet hall to me. The piano is in the bar - would recommend a table not in the bar.
Maestro's - first visit tomorrow night - any first-timer tips for me?
Request to sit upstairs.
Help! Need a fun place for 10 in Hollywood
Lucky Devils and Loteria Grill come to mind.
Monday lunch - Restaurant that epitomise LA cuisine
I had lunch at Spago yesterday and it was amazing...and Wolfgang Puck was walking around greeting & chatting every table!
We shared the Agnolotti with Sweet Greens Peas and Crab Cake to start - the Agnolotti was probably my favorite part of the meal. I had the Halibut, DH had the Chicken Palliard. Both excellent. We had Strawberry & Apricot sorbet with fresh fruit for dessert (this wasn't on the menu - but I special requested it). DH had 2 glasses of wine, I had a lemonade (bc I'm pregnant). It was about $200 with tip.
Definitely request a table on the patio. It was a glorious afternoon!!

FUN West Hollywood Birthday Dinner
Without knowing your budget, you could consider Dan Tana's (walking distance from Abbey). This is more $$ then Luna Park. Or maybe Taste on Melrose.
Red Hamburger Relish
The Counter has yummy red relish. Maybe you could buy it there.
Good to go?
Tender Greens, Pinches, Hugos, Chili Addiction, Soda Pops.
Recently picked up lunch from Simple Things and it was quite tasty. Sandwiches, soups and PIES.

I want to buy beef tenderloin
Marconda’s Meats (in Fairfax Farmers Market), Lindy & Gundy. I'm sure you could get at Whole Foods also.
Lunch: Spago or Bouchon, or someplace else?
Thanks for the feedback! We had dinner at Scrapetta and it was amazing. But I think I'm leaning towards Spago and the patio seating, hopefully will be a sunny day. I didn't know you could get the chef's tasting at lunch, but will definitely inquire about it.
Lunch: Spago or Bouchon, or someplace else?
Celebrating our 2 year anniversary in a few weeks and want to have a special lunch. Wish it could be dinner, but I'm on pregnancy bedrest so we are limited to outings after doctor's appts.
Would prefer to stay around Beverly Hills/West Hollywood area. Thinking of Spago or Bouchon - any recommendations for one over the other? Any other ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Best Paso Robles Wineries for Large Groups??
I did a wine tasting tour the day after my wedding in Paso Robles. I hired Wine Wranglers - and it was awesome. They made appointments at all the wineries and made sure we didn't miss any. We got married at Summerwood, so the chef catered our picnic lunch (sandwiches) - but I think Wine Wranglers offers this service.
We were a party of about 15 and went to Denner, Jada, Tablas Creek and Opolo. We had lunch at picnic tables at Tablas Creek. It was a perfect day!
Have fun!
Suggestions for anniversary dinner with limitations
Congrats on pregnancy and anniversary! I know you said no small plates, but you may want to consider Playa. I'm 6 months pregnant and had an amazing dinner there a few nights ago with my husband. The bartender made me a delicious non-alcoholic cocktail. The portion sizes were not huge (with the exception of the grilled octopus salad) - we tried about 5 things on the menu. What was most impressive was the chef came out to talk to me about pregnancy-friendly items on the menu.
Not new, but Campanille was also accommodating.
Or maybe Scarpetta?
Good Inexpensive Sushi nr cnr of Larrabee & Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood?

Easter Cake: Chocolate Pudding Cake
I'm not sure what Chocolate Pudding Cake is, but Ina Garten has a yummy recipe for Brownie Pudding...

Iron Chef Challenge - Eggplant
Thanks again for all the suggestions. We decided to make the Caponata Crostini (from Food & Wine) - posted by Gio. Considered the recipe Beyondthepeel posted, but thought it may be too challenging for the hubbie. I currently can't cook/be on my feet due to pregnancy bed rest, but as soon as I can I will definitely try this recipe.
The Caponata Crostini came out amazing and it will be easy for him to serve room temp.
GRAD PARTY Group of 20 Fun Dinner

SIDES FOR A BACKYARD BBQ THIS AFTERNOON....HELP!!!
Ditto Baby Blues. There is also a West Hollywood location that may be more convenient for you. Yummy Mac & Cheese, Creamed Spinach, Hush Puppies.
