I have bought frozen shelled zipper peas at Cacciatore Brothers off Hanley in town and Country. Not sure if they have them right now but now I want some!

I walked into one of the Tampa locations several years ago and turned around and walked out. Not my kind of dining.
Tampa Steakhouse for Bachelor Party Weekend
Mise en Place is not a steakhouse though they can likely get a steak there. If they haven't been to Bern's before they should go there. It is a fun experience especially if they do the tour and the dessert room.
Where to eat in or near Lakelands, FL
I would suggest a quick trip west on I4 to Shrimp and Co in Ybor City for fresh seafood. I had an excellent Grouper dinner there on Sat for 16.95. They have fresh Fl fish, shrimp, oysters, stone crab, etc.. at reasonable prices.

I have never had smoked fish salad. I have had smoked fish dip and whole smoked Mullet.

I like the bus but I like TM the best. I love the tortas, the salsa bar, fresh tortillas, the seafood guacamole and table service.

I love the Columbia and we eat there several times a year. We were just there on Thanksgiving and it was terrific. I love the atmosphere and the feeling of history and we always have excellent service. It was awesome on Thanksgiving to dine on Cuban sandwiches, 1905 salad, caldo gallego, and white chocolate bread pudding washed down with cava sangria.

If you don't go to Sidebern's you are missing out. Maybe go for their happy hour from 5-7. We went last Friday and it turned into dinner. They have 6 apps for 6.00 each 5 wines, 5 cocktails for 5.00 each and 5 craft beers for 3.00 each. They don't skimp on happy hour and change from their regular ingredients and libations. It really is a good deal.

I would skip the Refinery and add Pane Rustica or the Columbia.

It is sit down and casual. You could be in and out in 30 mins. Their seafood guacamole is really good.

Xmas Eve Showdown- China Yuan or Yummy House?
I love the new YH and will likely never step foot back in the original one. That being said, we just ate at China Yuan last Friday and it was wonderful. The last 5 times we had Chinese prior was at the new YH. They are both great so flip a coin or go to the one that is closest to you. You will win at either one.

Pane Rustica is always good. Never had a bad meal there and they are very consistent. Furthermore, if you were served a bad dish they would remove it and not school you at the table.
