Atlanta to Athens - need advice...

For Athens, I'd recommend the East-West Bistro. Although it's not mexican or bbq, Chef Lamar will treat you right. http://www.eastwestbistro.com/homepag...

For Atlanta, I second (or third) Fox Bros. Outstanding texas-style bbq. http://www.foxbrosbbq.com/

Down home chicken? Stop in at Son's Place. http://atlanta.citysearch.com/profile...

Best Indian in Atlanta

My new favorite is Mirch Masala in Decatur, although I like Rose of India and Madras Saravana Bhavan (which is closed at the moment and is changing their name to something else).

Eating in Marietta, GA

Have you tried Stefan's Off the Square (formerly Slovakia)?
For pizza: Vito Goldberg's on Whitlock
For BBQ: BBQ II, also on Whitlock.
Lemongrass Thai is good. It's on Roswell Rd.
Grapeleaf Grill is a very good Vietnamese place on Canton Rd.
Tasty China on Franklin Rd. has some of the best Chinese in town.
A little further down the road in Smynings is Muss & Turners.

Best Sushi in Atlanta?

While Taka might be the best sushi I've had in Atlanta, I didn't like his restaurant enough to go back. Never had the pleasure of being abused by Soto.

MF Sushi is very good and a nice place to eat, but for my money, Sushi Avenue rules.

5 Nights in Atlanta

Agave for excellent southwestern and great margaritas.
Mary Mac's Tea Room for good southern (it has a lot of Atlanta tradition going for it).
Panahar for Indian/Bangladeshi.
So Kong Dong for Korean.
Woodfire, mentioned before.
Restaurant Eugene, mentioned befor.e
5 Seasons Brewing for superb beer and really good food, too.
Nam, for good somewhat upscale Vietnamese.
Co'm Grill for a different take on Vietnamese.

There's plenty more. Atlanta has a lot of good restaurants.

Help with Buford/Atlanta area seafood/meat markets!

For cheese, try Savor Specialty Foods, in Buckhead. Kind of hard to find, but once you do, you'll be glad.

Besides cheese, Savor has lots of other goodies and the owners are really nice.

Help with Buford/Atlanta area seafood/meat markets!

Super-H on Pleasanthill is known for a good seafood selection. Can't say where to get meat on BuHi.

Favorite Korean restaurant is So Kong Dong, in the Pinetree West plaza, north side of BuHi, not too far inside the perimeter (I-285).
