Best meal I ever ate:
I just made my grandmother's piƱon from memory and it wasn't quite 100%, but connected me to her memory enough to earn the current Best Meal designation. Gonna get it to 100%
My current drink of choice:
Coppola Rosso - always a reliable blend that drinks easy and delights.
I really wish I could:
bake bread-still-but with Easy Tiger in town, I don't have to have Acme FedExed to me!
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
Lasagne - homemade pasta, homemade ricotta, homemade pork ragu, homemade sausage, homemade meatballs, and good fresh mozzerella - salad of red leaf lettuce, arugula, avocado, blanched asapragus with a mustard vinaigrette. Bread - the best available, since although i can make a lot of things I can't bake bread to save my life.
My favorite comfort food:
mofongo, asopao, a farm fresh egg frizzled in olive oil, topped with sea salt, with a slice of good, honest bread (as mfk would say - and now reliably available from Easy Tiger in Austin - oh, that levain...)
