Sage - still great?

My partner and I just had the 7 course tasting menu. Everything was FAB! service was smooth and friendly. Sage is sill great.

Which high end places (twist, la atelier,etc...) have a bar menu?

2nd Sage.

Chinese

Two places I like are Noodle Pot on spring Mtn in china town and Jugoo on Maryland just N. of Tropicana in the strip mall just s. of In N Out burger

Wine Shops

you could check out Village Meat and Wind on eastern just south of Tropicana. It is a fantastic meat, gourmet store. I've never bought wine there but they do have a selection of very top shelf Ca. wines.

Deciding between Mesa Grill, Spago, and Mon Ami Gabi... NEED HELP!!!

I guess I'm the exception here. I ate at Mesa once and it was overwhelmingly mediocre and bland. Factor in the price and it was very bad. Mon Ami Gabi is fine and I haven't been to the vegas Spago,

Seeking very spicy food!

Jugoo on Maryland has very good and very spicy hunan chinese

Le Cirque Dress Code?

Well, it IS vegas!

Wine Shops

If you have a car, go to Total Wine in Henderson.

Seeking very spicy food!

L.O.S. is wonderful, love it, but for very spicy thai, check out Komal in the center of the same shopping center. Ask for level 10+ and it will be very spicy and very good too.

Why ask specific questions a phone call would answer?

I turn to CH for subjective stuff. opinions, reviews. Not facts that are second hand, questionable accuracy at best. The price, policy etc one person perceived or actually experienced may have changed by the time someone else asks about it. Calling a restaurant direct avoids that. There are zillions of worthwhile posts here but the hard fact questions seem silly here.

Why ask specific questions a phone call would answer?

Seems like there are way too many questions about specifics when a simple phone call would be more accurate. Examples are if a place takes credit cards, has a particular special/price, corkage policy etc? Wouldn't the restaurant itself have a better answer than opinions here?

Wine in Vegas [moved from Wine board]

Total wine in Henderson has a good selection

Where is the best red wine sangria in Vegas?

Firefly on Paradise has very good sangria.

Firefly On Blast!

I've only been to the paradise location. been a couple times and food and service were excellent.

Trip Report: Day 1

Sorry you did not have a better experience with Sage. I have always found the service to be spot on, warm and inviting, never a bit snooty or stuffy at all and I think it is one of the most comfortable rooms in town. As for the bitters, we all have different tastes for sure, but Peychauds are a classic bitter.

Las Vegas- Fremont street eats?

also at the Golden Gate is a very good french dip sandwich to go with the shrimp cocktail.

Lotus of Siam Help

I live in Vegas and go to LOS occasionally. It's great. Like Dave said, the staff is friendly and helpful. Just tell them what you like, or don't like and ask their recommendations. They will help you out, get a few things to share. Two of my favorites are the jackfruit and the short ribs.

Bartolotta or B&B? Spanish/Tapas?

For tapas, I really like Firefly on Paradise, off the strip

Gourmet cupcakes in Vegas?

I get cupcakes from GiGi's on Flamingo once in a while, always very good.

Dining after midnight in LV

Ferraros on Paradise is open until 2am, 4am on weekends

Payard lunch

a phone call?.

First time for a foodie in VEGAS 3 day trip HELP PLEASE

I"ve only been to the Grimaldi's on s. Eastern. Sometimes very busy but service has always been great and so has the food. It can be busy early eve so I try to go later.

First time for a foodie in VEGAS 3 day trip HELP PLEASE

The pizza place at Cosmopolitan is just good, not great. It is one of the better in the neighborhood but doesn't warrant a special trip at all. If you're at the Cosmo, sure, stop in for a slice but don't go out of your way. If you want good thin crust coal fired oven pizza, go to Grimaldis.

weekday lunch--Weiss' Deli, Noodle Pot or LOS??

Avoid Weiss deli. It doesn't come close to a good deli in L.A. or NYC. Service is spotty at best and the food isn't that good.

Under $100 for two on the strip...best picks??

Maybe Tod English P.U.B. at Crystals/Aria

Late Nov Dinner Rec's

Two of the best meals I've had in a while have been at Sage at Aria and Carnevino at the Venetian.

Chef and Wine Professional need advice on MUST do's for my first trip to Vegas

The Chandelier and Vesper are both great. I usually go to Floor 1.5. The bartenders there are really nice.

Holsteins burgers in The Cosmopolitan

I went back and had the truffle lobster mac and cheese. It was good, very good. I also had the Longhorn (?) sandwich which was a burger with brisket and coleslaw. It was delish if a bit messy.
Again service was flawless and very friendly.

Drive between Vegas and LA

Peggy Sues 50's Diner, just past Barstow at the Ghost Town Rd. exit is pretty good for what it is. Not amazing, but compared to everything around, its your best bet. They have excellent pies. Also, the Arco station at that freeway exit has the best gas prices around.

French Fries in Vegas

The fries at Todd English P.U. B. at Crystals are fantastic. They might be called fat fries or something like that. They are wedge cut. I'm not usually a fan of wedge cut fries but they are done perfect. Crispy golden on the outside and fluffy soft inside, perfectly seasoned.
