Visiting London from New York

I'm in London right now on business from New York. Working and staying in the Marylebone and Marble Arch area. I leave on Sunday. At most I have three dinners and two lunches to figure out. I'm more than willing to go anywhere in London. Cost isn't much of an object but it doesn't need to be expensive. Will eat anything if its tasty. I went to the Wolesey last night. I didn't care for the quail egg with hollandaise but I loved the chicken liver. I definitely want to try 'new english cuisine'. I was thinking of the place by the Borough Market (Roast?) but I don't really know anyplace else. Would love some Indian but not Brick Lane. So one 'new english' and one indian and other than that I'm open. I'm sure I'll be by the Tate Modern at some point this weekend so maybe a lunch spot near there? So basically I'm open to most anything from street food to prix fixe. I know there are a million restaurants in London so please just throw some ideas at me at I'll figure out from there. Thanks!

p.s. - Dining solo. I know it doesn't make a difference in most places. Having the option to eat a the bar is great.

Dino BBQ Non-traditional dishes?

A group of us have been starting to get together about once a month at DIno. I typically have been getting the traditional BBQ combo plates. I'm looking to branch out beyond the traditonal plates and I'm hoping for some suggestions. Has anyone had the rib eye, korean style ribs, catfish, reuben, burger, etc.? Any recommendation beyond the traditional pit plates and delicious chicken wings would be much appreciated.

Who is your favorite single restaurant chef?

By single restaurant what I mean is a chef that you will almost always find in the kitchen unless its their day off. So obviously I'm not talking about Batali or Boulud here. Looking for chefs who work their craft on a daily basis and create wonderful food.

Lunch spot near 11th and G?

I'm taking the bus to DC tomorrow and I know I'll be starving when I arrive. Any good lunch options near 11th and G? I'm open to anything.

Things to do with Liverwurst

Was at the farmers market last weekend and on a whim picked up some liverwurst. Made great apps, smeared some on crusty bread, added some nice grainy mustard, some good bleu cheese on the side... and now I'm at a loss for what to do with the rest before it goes bad.

Are there any recipes that I can incorporate it into or am I stuck over-eating until it's gone?

Jackson Heights Lunch Ideas?

I am fortunate enough to be volunteering in Jackson Heights once a week for the next three weeks. I want to take the opportunity to have lunch each time I'm out there. I will be in the 91st and 34th area. I'm know I have a variety of excellent options to choose from. Any ideas and suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

Great 'Expensive' Lunch Bargains and 'Must Try' Lunch Only Items

I'm fortunate enough to have some time off before I start my new job and I'm looking for special lunch deals around the city. By an 'expensive' lunch bargain I mean something like the $24 prix fixe lunch at Perry Street or the $29 prix fixe lunch at Jean Georges. By the way I had the lunch at Perry Street today and I thought it was a great deal. The tomato soup was very good and the chocolate pudding with fresh cream and crystalized violets was awesome. Anyway, I'd also be interested in any 'must try' lunch only items such as the burger at Lugers. I appreciate any ideas and suggestions. Thanks.

Looking for a fun and upscale dinner spot

I remember the Tasting Room! I liked that place. Thanks.

Looking for a fun and upscale dinner spot

Thanks for the advice everyone. We've decided to go with Blackbird. We're going tonight. I'll let you know what we think. Some of our other weekend eats will probably include Lou Malnati's (or some other deep dish) on Saturday night and The Bongo Room for brunch on saturday or sunday.

Looking for a fun and upscale dinner spot

Eight foodies will be making a weekend trip to Chicago. We were looking for a fun and upscale place for dinner on Friday night where a large group will feel comfortable. I used to live in Chicago but I've forgotten some places and I'm sure there are great new spots. I did like places like Marche and Blackbird. Are they still good? I loved Charlie Trotters but that might be a little too upscale for what we are looking for. Any ideas and suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Food Film Festival at Water Taxi Beach?

Did anyone get a chance to attend the opening night of the Food Film Festival at Water Taxi Beach last night? How was the food? How was the crowd? I don't really care for the place but I'm tempted to go. It sounds they might have some good food on certain nights and it could be a lot of fun. Any insight?

Brunch with Family

My fiancee's parents will be visiting the city in a couple weeks. My fiancee and I are looking to plan a sunday brunch with her parents and my mom and sister. Would prefer a location thats not terribly inconvenient to Penn Station. I'm thinking West Village, Flatiron, Chelsea, or Midtown. Someplace upscale but not snobby or too trendy. We love the brunch at Five Points if that helps. Thanks!

Rehearsal Dinner in San Antonio

I'm an out-of-towner trying to find a space for a Rehearsal Dinner in San Antonio. Unfortunately it needs to be on or very close to the riverwalk. It cannot be "upscale latin", no Boudros, Acenar, etc., because thats the type of food we're having at the wedding. Mi Terra sounds interesting but it might not have a good space for us. The dinner is for about 60-80 people. Cuisine doesn't matter at this point as I feel like I'm already very limited in my choices. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks.
