B & B vs. Sage for a solo bar dinner?
the bar at sage is great. have the steak tartar and foi grois creme brulee. ask for beer pairings.

i nejoyed sw steakhouse very much, and hope to go back this year. sinatra is good as well. try the lasagna there.
Sushi in Westchester
i agree with chowdom's analysis, tho i don't think sushi nanase is "light years" more expensive than azuma, but certainly it is, at least for us, an "occasion" restaurant, and we can (and do) often get take out from azuma. i have tried hard to like fujinoya, but it just hasn't hit me yet.

Polpettina homestyle pizza kitchen (Fisher Ave. Eastchester) this is so much more than just pizza...
at the risk of adding my 2 cents, and to try to simplify the issue, let me just state that polpettina is an itialian restaurant with outstanding food, including for take out (which i prefer, because the only down side of the place is that it is too small). I don't know which i like better, the sandwiches, truffle fries, or zeppole, but i'm working on that. polpettina is not a local pizzeria.

sounds like a great trip. try the lobster pot pie at michael mina, and the chocolate dessert. i've been to PUB and holsteins. both are good, but i personally liked holsteins better. the chinese mexican place at cosmo is very good. also good is first bar at venetian. and if you love guiness, ri ra at mandalay. btw, the beer at sage is great, and the sommelier will "pair" your food with beer upon request.

china poblano is excellent, as is comme ca and holstein's, all at cosmopolitan

fiamma, meh. but the shrimp and grits at american fish is fabulous. why not bartolotta for seafood?

too crowded, overwhelming, confusing and, if you are not familiar with asian (especially korean) foods, not worth it. will stick with fresh market.

i have eaten breakfast at tableau, bouchon, verrandah and mozen bistro -- they are all great, and i would love to spend a month comparison eating to decide which one is best.

have never been to le cirque, but sage is great. you can't lose going there. also, i think it is cheaper, altho hardly cheap. for brunch, try mozen bistro.

tried poblano burrito yesterday. i'm no expert when it come to "authenticity", whatever that means, but i will say that the food was quite good and i will go back. had a burrito, tacos, and chimichanga.
