Tips for the Perfect Pie Crust

I also recommend buying a pie bag. After the dough has rested in the frig for half an hour, you put it in the pie bag (that you have previously added flour to). The you use your rolling pin on top of the bag to roll out the dough into a perfect circle. When you're done you unzip the bag, put your pie pan on top and just flip over. It works out perfectly everytime.

University of Michigan - Looking for a good restaurant

Also, as far as cuisine, I think continental, mexican or japanese. For price, nothing too expensive, but I'm willing to pay for a good meal.

University of Michigan - Looking for a good restaurant

Since I'm bringing my teenage son, I think we want some place casual. I was reading online about Grizzly Peak, do you know anything about that? Also, we are going to be there on a Sunday night.

I am going to take my son to visit the University of Michigan this weekend. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good restaurant near the university?

I got a great recipe for chili with ground beef chuck and sweet Italian sausage from The Silver Palette Cookbook. You can get the recipe and read all about my chili "adventures" on my blog at www.theinspiredchef.blogspot.com.

A Biscotti recipe to share

I found a great recipe for double chocolate walnut biscotti at www.epicurious.com from the December 1994 issue of Gourmet magazine. In addition, I dipped my biscotti into melted semisweet chocolate, which was excellent. Use good quality chocolate, like Scharffen Berger I even included these biscotti in a blog I wrote about holiday food gifts at:
