The Last Supper
A friend of mine is moving West in 2 weeks. A group of us are planning a 'Last Meal'. Any suggestions of a fun, great, unforgettable last meal (name of restaurant) as a group?
Wheat/Dairy Free
I've recently been diagnosed as allergic to wheat and to dairy. That said -- lots of my favorite foods -- noodle soups, dumplings, pizza - let alone a great sandwich - are now off limits. That said, I've developed a renewed interest in rice. All things rice. Rice as a side dish, rice as a meal - whatever. Outside of sushi joints -- who has great suggestions for their favorite rice joints (also ones that serve a healthy dose of meat) around? Indian? Chinese? BBQ? Korean -- any and all reco's are solicited. Thanks.
Celiac Dining
My daughter, 6 years old, has recently been diagnosed with Celiacs Disease. I'm on the hunt for good -- doesn't need to be great/fine dining -- simply good dining experiences -- ideally on the UES.
Italian -- you could imagine -- is the biggest challenge. Also breakfast options would be nice. I am familiar with Opus and Peters but am eagerly looking for more family dining options.
Thanks.
Fun group for birthday...
thanks.
budget is moderate -- i guess im looking more for a neighborhoody, fun casual place rather then the big box locales.
Fun group for birthday...
Im hitting Lucky Strike late night with a group of 4 couples. Am looking for a chill, great vibe, excellent dining experience somewhere on the West side -- below 42nd -- above (or in) West Village.
I dont care about the cuisine but am leaning towards Italian.
Keywords here would be -- rustic, fun, 'sceney', loud, etc.
Thanks!

I'm looking for a place with a good, with good food, good drinks and an atmosphere that will enamor any large party.
It doesn’t need to be in any specific area in the city. Cuisine preference is Italian, Spanish, Mexican – anything really.
Any suggestions?
Best 'Soup for a meal'
thanks for the response but i was looking more in the asian genre. like Republic (but more authentic) in Union Square.
Best 'Soup for a meal'
I know the reviews were mixed, but I had an affinity for Chikibu and its Friday soup special.
Any suggestions where I could adequately replace that lunch?
Manhattan Deli's?
only barney greengrass if you want nova and bagels. spectacular, but not great true deli experience.
as cliche as it sounds go to katz's - get a pastrami on rye. ballgame.
