Absolutely the best paella
Searching in Queens or Brooklyn for a special birthday dinner.
I thought it was an old style onion board but......
It looked good and smelled like onions, it's round and seems to be made out of phyllo dough with bits of onion in between the layers. It is definitely not an onion board. The store where I bought it was in a Bukharian neighborhood. Can anyone identify what this might be?
Italian biscotti Bensonhurst & surrounding areas
I need 5-6 pounds for an office function next week. Where do I go for the best quality at the best price? Thanks.
Metropolitan pavillion/W. 18 st./ vegan
Will be there on a Sunday afternoon. We would like vegan/dairy options in an inexpensive local place for lunch.
Italian Passover Cake
Sounds great but.......what would I be able to use instead of almonds for a guest with nut allergies? Maybe something similar.
Left over flounder
Fish cakes it is. By the way what's the difference between fish cakes and fish burgers?
Left over flounder
I have quite a few pieces of baked flounder left over from Xmas eve. What can I do with them for dinner tonight? Do you think they are still ok?
Worthwhile in Whitestone, Queens?
Can you please give an exact location for the Greek Emporium. I find Titan too busy.
Blue Mango, in Brooklyn
The yogurt is good and it is Kosher. Many toppings to choose from and some days you can buy one and get one free.
Seafood in Nassau County
We are interested in someplace with fresh fish choices, possibly a complete dinner special menu (3 course).
Kosher catering hall/shul for Bar Mitzvah in Brooklyn
I thought I heard the caterer at Beth Shalom is gone.
3 foot hero bread
I am making my own heroes and need two Italian breads each one being 3 feet long. I live in southeast Queens and would appreciate any suggestions of a bakery that will be relatively easy to get to (preferably Brooklyn, Queens or western Nassau). A trip to the Rockland bakery would be much too time consuming.
Kolbeh Rice
You must be Persian since you are so knowledgeable with the different rices.
Kosher catering hall/shul for Bar Mitzvah in Brooklyn
Went to Rockwood Park a couple of years ago and they ran out of food.
Spring/Mercer/Broadway area
We'll be in this area over the weekend. First, what exactly is this neighborhood known as? Tribeca, SoHo, something else? Second and most important any type of food (no sushi please) that's good and under $20 each for lunch. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.
New LI BBQ
Would love to find out more about the place near JFK. We love good Q but have yet to find it. Thanks.
Authentic Mexican in Brooklyn or Queens
Any suggestions where we can get really great Mexican in Brooklyn or Queens.
Yogurt kosher for Passover?
I checked Walbaums, Pathmark and A&P and haven't had luck. According to the website Dannon and America's Choice should all have limited flavors available. Hopefully by the weekend they may be shipped to the stores. Thanks for the help.
Yogurt kosher for Passover?
In the past I remember buying Breyers fruit yogurts that were clearly marked KP. I've looked and have not found any marked for Passover. Are there any available and where in Queens or willing to go to Brooklyn.
Agnanti-Bay Ridge...or other Greek
Tay
It's been a while but we did finally get over to Spartan and were very pleased with the food. We ordered the spinach and cheese pies as apps. Some had the chicken souvlaki platters and loved them. I had the gyro platter and was very happy. The greek fries were outstanding. We did over order, portions were large and filling. Thanks for the great rec.
West 52 Street vicinity
A quick report back. We went to Uncle Nicks and had a wonderful dinner. All food was fresh and the service was good. Some of us had the gyro platters others had the stuffed grape leaves, some salads and all were pleased.
