Need recommendaton for restaurant convenient to Phoenix Memory Lawn Cemetery, 719 North 27th Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85009
My sister-in-law's funeral is Saturday. Afterwards, we want to go to a restaurant, preferably with a private room. There will probably be 10-12 people. I'm sure there is nothing near the cemetery but what can you suggest that would be the closest but not in a "bad" neighborhood.
I miss Mag's Ham Bun! Where to get a good ham sandwich in Phoenix or Scottsdale, preferably North Scottsdale
Any suggestions?
Seafood restaurant recommendations needed for Redondo Beach
We'll be in Redondo Beach for two nights, later this month. Coming from the desert, we are looking for recommendations for good seafood, preferably a restaurant with a water view. Nothing fancy, just a casual place. Can you help?
Bryan's BBQ - Cave Creek
I drive by Bryan's every morning at 5am and I can smell barbecuing going on, so maybe it depends what time you pass by. But at 5am, there is definitely a barbecue smell going on.
We've eaten there or gotten take out several times, and we think it's great.
Someplace midway between Tempe and Cave Creek -looking for Italian food
Meeting someone for dinner and we're looking for suggestions for an Italian restaurant that would be kind of equidistant between Tempe and Cave Creek. Any ideas?
"Night of the 7 Fishes" Xmas Eve dinner/Phx or Scottsdale
I'll call Aiellos and see what they are offering. We are in Cave Creek so going to South Mountain is too far. Looking more for a Phoenix/Scottsdale/No Scottsdale location.
"Night of the 7 Fishes" Xmas Eve dinner/Phx or Scottsdale
I heard that an Italian Xmas Eve dinner consists of a meal filled with fish dishes. I wonder if there are any Italian restaurants in Phx or Scottsdale that offer such a meal on Xmas Eve. Does anyone know?
Help me find a good Philly cheesesteak sandwich in Scottsdale or Phx...
Tried the Philadelphia Sandwich Co. in Scottsdale today; it was ok but nothing to rave about. Any suggestions?
Need restaurant suggestions for Ontario.
We'll be spending a night at the Fairfield Inn in Ontario. Any suggestions for restaurants not too far from the hotel? Would love suggestions for good Italian. Thanks.
Cave Creek/Carefree Restaurants- Have you been to Albertos...
Thanks so much for the response. We live in the area and usually get our pizza at Uncle Louies. Have wanted a recommendation before trying Albertos.
Cave Creek/Carefree Restaurants- Have you been to Albertos...
Would like opinions if anyone has been to this restaurant at the corner of Cave Creek Rd and Tom Darlington. Thanks.
The Codfather - Fish 'n Chips
We had lunch at the Codfather today. Two orders of the fish, chips and soda combo came to about $16.00. We both thought the food was very good, although we preferred the fish and chips we had at the Skyptical Chemist (forgive my spelling) in Scottsdale. However, we will definitely go back to the Codfather.
Pet Friendly Restaurant Patios-Phoenix Area
I agree about Nick's. Love the food there. I don't mind the pizza parlor atmosphere at Uncle Louie's.
Pet Friendly Restaurant Patios-Phoenix Area
Scabbardgirl - you don't like the food at Uncle Louie's? I think they have a great antipasto salad, and love their pasta dishes. Pizza not the greatest but I like everything else alot.
Need breakfast recommendations - North Scottsdale
Meeting some friends for breakfast on Saturday - any suggestions for a good breakfast in No. Scottsdale? Thanks.
Cornflake Chicken-How to keep the damn things on
I use low fat sour cream or plain yogurt - coat the chicken with it, then roll in the cornflakes crumbs, then drizzle some melted butter on the chicken, then bake.
Fish and Chips - Phx/Scottsdale area
We just got back from having lunch at the Skeptical Chymist. We both had fish and chips, and they were excellent (both the fish, and the chips). The batter was crisp and the cod was tender. Thanks for the other suggestions.
The Codfather - on Bell Rd - is it open?
Does anyone know? I called their phone number and got recording that voicemail not set up yet.
Olive & Ivy at Scottsdale Waterfront - how is it for breakfast?
Less than stellar for dinner from what I understand but what about breakfast on a Saturday morning? How's the breakfast food and will the noise level be horrific? (We like to gab)
Fage 2% vs. Fage Light
I tried Fave for the first time today (0%). Plain was the only zero fat/low fat flavor at the store. I put in some splenda and topped with some granola. It was great. I think I am going to be hooked. I only bought one container to see if I liked it but will be back at Trader Joes tomorrow to stock up!
Great food on Amelia Island
Went to the Concours d'Elegance held at the Ritz Carlton on Amelia Island. We stayed at the Hampton Inn on 2nd St in Fernandina Beach, and were within walking distance of so many excellent restaurants. We ate at the Marina twice, Espana, Bretts Waterway, Bright Mornings, and our favorite, Joes 2nd St Bistro. All were very good. We also had several lunches at Sliders. Haven't eaten fried food in years, but couldnt resist the fried shrimp basket. Fabulous! The worst meal we had was lunch at the Ritz Carlton! We had chicken caesar salads and not that they were bad, but were overpriced and tiny. Shortly after eating them, we had to go to Sliders 'cause we were hungry, and have fried shrimp!
We were amazed at how many great restaurant choices there were for a place the size of Fernandina Beach.
Good chicken cacciatore in Scottsdale - where to go?
I can answer my own question. Ate at Nicks (Pinnacle Peak location) last night. My husband had the chicken cacciatore and said it was great. The rest of us thought our dishes (two had ravioli, I had fettucine with peppers and sause in marinara sauce) were excellent, too.
Nick's Italian - Phoenix
Four of us had dinner at Nick's at Pinnacle Peak last nite and the food was great. None of us had been there before, and we all agreed the food was excellent. Prices pretty reasonable too. Dinner for four, with tip, came to about $150 - and we all had salads, a glass of wine, entrees, and split two tiramisu for dessert. My husband liked his chicken cacciatore alot, the two who had ravioli raved, and all day today I kept thinking about the fettucine with peppers and sausage in marinara sauce that I devoured. Nick's could very well become my favorite restaurant.
Good chicken cacciatore in Scottsdale - where to go?
Just watched a Bobby Flay Throwdown and the food cooked was chicken cacciatore. Now we want some. Where in North Scottsdale can we get good chicken cacciatore?
