i have been there alone twice for dim sum. i have always been treated very nicely by the staff and they give you as many carry-out containers as you need. If you want to go there solo, then go for it!

baby friendly places in LA?
I once saw a lady breast feeding her child at a table @Craft. They must be very accommodating! (No Lie) They also have a nice outside area that may be easier for you as the weather turns nicer.
Passover at Jar
i actually went to jar for the last 2 years. it's a good time. Have the fish, it was more well received then the meat offering at my table both years. this year i am doing it myself. Enjoy!

Where to find organic, lightweight chickens?
if one person says no...ask someone else :) also tell them you do this all the time. they always seem to have new people so they might not know it's ok to sell the chickens, pre-rotisserie. i would say i have a 90% success rate but i have not asked recently.

i like to roast a chicken under 3lbs too so i beg the butcher at Whole Foods to give me one that they are planning to use for their rotisserie they are always under 3lb. They are not always willing.
