What's good at the Orange Street Fair? I enjoyed the Elks Fish and Chips - large pieces of fish with the thick fries. Gotta add the malt vinegar with the spray bottle. |

Mitsuwa's Hokkaido Fair is back! 9/11-914 I'm looking forward to the Croquet's, but it looks like they are having another ramen shop set up for the fair with Asahikawa Shoyu based Soup? |

King Lobster Palace @ Orange - Excellent!! I apologize, I don't know that area. But, he said it was called "Great Sea?" in the Ding How Market complex? |

King Lobster Palace @ Orange - Excellent!! This place just opened up this month, so I had to check it out. The owners are from Rowland Heights, and have opened up places there and at Artesia. I was there for dinner. Got the lobster 4 lbs, at their special price of $10/lb - 10/10 The Fish 2 flavor - 6/10 Diced French Beef steak - 8/10 BBQ Pork Chow Mien HK style - 5/10 I am just glad that there is a real Rowland Heights/Irvine level chinese restaurant near me. I also read that they have dim sum on carts at lunch from yelpers. King Lobster Palace |

A Taste Of Japan in So Cal? 2008 Mitsuwa Umaimono Gourmet Fair (Costa Mesa) [Review] Looking forward to your review! |

Has anybody tried Cham-Ya in Anaheim I heard it was a succesful catering group that opened its own restaurant. How is it compared to Meejana in Orange |
I saw that it is open now - has anybody tried it yet?? |

All show, no go. We had one in Costa Mesa right by South Coast Plaza, but it only lasted a few months before closing. Elmo has a good review with video |

Great Review!! Good place. |

Mitsuwa "Legendary Ramen Fair" Great - Thanks for the heads up. Whats the deal - why does San Diego get to have all 3?? |

I just spoke with the manager at the Costa Mesa Marukai, he said that Daikokuya is scheduled to open in their food court on March 1st. This completes the Ramen Triangle of Daikokuya, Santouka and Shinsengumi in Orange County!! |

China Garden in Irvine... very disappointed I have also lately been very disappointed with CG. Not only is the quality quite variable, but the prices are increasing - (plus check how they add your total amount.) I have been impressed with Cafe Chen - across the street, and have heard that their hot pots are quite good. In the past, I did like Tri-Village-across the 5, but their dining room set up was such a pain it was hard to get a table. |

After reading Elmo's blog, I went down to try the Ice Pan at Costa Mesa. Poor location with out any external signage. The making of the ice cream is definetly interesting - equivalent to a Benihana show. However, after trying the mango, green tea and strawberry - we decided it was only ok. I can believe they are trying to launch 3 sites at once. It may flop. Anybody, with a more positive experience? |

REVIEW: Ma's Chinese Islamic, Anaheim I agree. I was very excited about trying Ma's since she started the trend in OC which led to the branch of Lotus in Huntington Beach and the orginal Jamillah Garden in Tustin. Other than the interior the food was just ok. The "bings" are good, however the fried dumplings were particularly nasty - I don't know why the beef in them was so stringy. The fish with hot bean sauce was also fair. |

Hollywood East Cafe on the Boulevard - recent changes? Thats terrible!! They used to have the best BBQ pork - I would see them carry in a whole pig at times. Is it an owner change? |

OC Review: SUSHI 5, “Sushi so Fresh it’s Still Moving“ I was actually pleasantly surprised by the cough/sneeze/ Ebola guard of the plastic covers. |
Yup, right across the street from the pier. |
OC Review: SUSHI 5, “Sushi so Fresh it’s Still Moving“ I really like Maki Zushi also. Are they still offering the 20% discount? |
OC Review: SUSHI 5, “Sushi so Fresh it’s Still Moving“ I have not been impressed at all with the place. There is more revolving signs than food. If you guys want a real rotating sushi bar with actual sushi then its at Kura Sushi |

Jagerhaus German Restaurant (review + pics) Love the potato pancakes and apple sauce. I heard they changed owners recently - and the new owner just added his name in front of Jagerhaus. |
I saw a sign. It will be at the old Ko Ko Ru on Jamboree - near the Macaroni Grill |

Last Meals to eat in the LA/OC area! Moving to Baltimore! I'm sorry. I just moved from there. To get good asian food there you'll have to drive to Wheaton, or Silver Spring. I used to do it on the weekends - good luck! |
